Patriots Training Camp (Day Five, Tuesday July 30)

My only issue is that that exact quote was mentioned twice before in this very thread, So it makes it seem like you are kind of fanboying out a bit what with the whole "Tebow everything" getup you got going. Personally I'd say tone it down a bit, as you are trying to hard to show everyone how much you like tebow, Christianity. Matthew 6:1

I like the review nothing wrong with that at all.

It's important to keep in mind that Yates appraisal of Tebow's play was within the context of his play the previous four days. And that the phrase "good arm strength and accuracy down the field" is primarily based off of a highlight throw, a deep ball to Hawkins down the sideline. Which was a very pretty throw.

I watched the QBs rather extensively, and I stand by that Tebow had a very rough day throwing in drills, and looked slightly better in scrimmage.

Anytime you go to camp, you are reminded to take any camp reports with a huge grain of salt. There's sometimes half a dozen drills going on at once. It's impossible to get the whole story. I try to focus on one unit while I'm there and get as much of that story as I can, otherwise you get spread too thin.

I know, And thats why there is a like button so you could have liked the two other posts made about the same review.

But thats just me being one of those people who only likes to read an article once, maybe two times.

I hate it when you guys argue. it makes me sad.

Can we not just cut Tebow and get back to being friends.

I highly doubt that will happen but I want to go on record that these are good thoughts.

Chasa - I sent you a PM and I liked your post. I think that there is a spamming rule in place too. Not sure though. Either way - I think that there were some real good reports about the teams' defense on day 5 of practice as well.

Looking forward to the pre-season schedule!

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I guess this would be a good time to say this since there is so much love in the room:

Proverbs 18:1

An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends; he defies all sound judgment.

Maybe it is a good time that we all start practicing what is being preached around here. Have a good night.

I'm far from a Tebow supporter, but he has always done a good job of protecting the ball. His int% last season was only 0.1% worse than Bradys career average.

Tom Brady has thrown 6000 passes in his career, with a 2.1 Int%. Tebow threw 271 passes for Denver in 2011 to compile a 2.2 Int%. I'm not sure you're familiar with the concept of "small sample size", but this would be as good a time as any for you to read up on the subject, and how it can influence statistical analysis.

I know and appreciate it, When i went in to ignore i noted he was a supporting member and didn't want to jump the gun, but then after the last exchange it became obvious that ignoring was the way to go.

It was mentioned yet people were still asking for sources , as an exmaple belichik 109876547488599 , so no matter how many times its posted, some still need it re posted.

It was a nasty comment to CC.

exactly, thanks Ironman.

Listen bully..... pick on someone like me please. I was here before Tebow, 65% (or more) of my post have likes and I actually contribute to the site and support it UNLIKE YOU .

So stop dropping Ian's name so much and acting like a Pseudo mod.

Contribute to the site put your money where your giant mouth is and stop quoting rules that have no application in this circumstance.

65% of your posts have likes because all the Tebow posters like you and CC like each other's posts. You clearly contributed to the site just to brag about it and use it against people who haven't contributed, which is kind of sad. I didn't mind you guys posting before but you two are going to be the first entries on my ignore list since I joined in 2010. Try not obsessing over the politics of an internet message board, it could work wonders for your emotional well-being.

Sudfeld wears 44, but I know what you're saying. I don't think there's ever been a really good WR who wears 17. There's one year wonders like Braylon Edwards, and one trick ponies like Mike Wallace and Plaxico Burress. Really hoping Dobson can take 83, he tweeted that he wanted it but someone else (Hawkins) had it. Weird because he tweeted that before Hawkins signed.

Hawkins just got cut so maybe Dobson will get that number now.

Training camp, Boyce and Thompkins look like they are stepping up. Will be very interesting to see our rookie wideouts in the first preseason game.

Ironman hasn't been rude or disrespectful to anyone. He just happens to call out those who are spewing bologna and double standards. Ironman didn't donate to brag, he donated to the site so he could help support the site. As far as the likes ironman's posts have received. The likes his posts have receive come from a wide variety of posters not just as you call it Tebow posters. Please get off Ironman's back.

....and the anti-Tebow zealots piss all over yet another thread....

A reminder to those who once again bring their back and forth to yet another thread:

How To Place A Person On Ignore

First Method:

  • Click on the screen name of the person to be put on ignore. That will pull up a few options, including "view public profile"
  • Click on the "view public profile" link. That will pull up the member's profile page. Under the member's screen name on that page is an option that says "User lists".
  • Click on "user lists". You'll see an option that says "add to ignore list". You click on that and you'll be asked to verify that you want to put that person on ignore.
  • Click on "Yes", and the person is on ignore.

Second Method:

  • Go to your own "User CP". On the left side, you'll see a bunch of options, including "Edit ignore list".
  • Click on "edit ignore list". Add the member's name, click "OK" and then click "save changes".

The third option is for a moderator to ban all involved from the particular thread.

Both sides are pretty much doing that. I've never seen a forum where a training camp thread that attempts to highlight what each player on a roster that's going to eventually be 53 players gets hijacked and turns into a multi-page debate about the third string quarterback. But that's Tebow for ya...

boooo hoooo!

...eh.....

Lord knows that I don't mind threads where scuffles break out. The anti-Tebow stuff is out of hand, though. Joker was rabidly anti-Tebow at the start, but he's said his piece and is now containing his comments (at least mostly) to Tebow's on-field stuff. If he can do it, so can the others.

The heck with that! Tebow is awesome/terrible! ;)

On a less controversial note, good to hear that Dobson will be returning to practice.
