I think some folks here need to lighten up on the 'it is just the Jags'....

I'd have to work REAL hard to get nervous about this game.

Always fret about injuries, though. If the day ends with a healthy Pats team, I'll be happy.

My vote for worst thread title of the year. Something like "Jags are capable" would suffice nicely.

Don't you mean we should unlighten up?

Lighten down?

Isn't there a song by Archie Bell and the Drells, "Do the Lighten Up"?????

Hmmm, I think this thread could get interesting now...

I think that was something like, "Do The Don't Screw It Up".

And it wasn't Archie Bell. It was Tiny Tim Tebow And the HeBlows.

Some folks can breath now.

U-G-L-Y

Crappy performance all around. Maybe they weren't motivated or just played down to the Jags level.

Get healthy and get their act together or they won't make it very far in playoffs.

Gronk will be rusty coming back. Talib is hurting. Dennard we really need healthy also. McCourty is a better Safety than CB.

Nobody will remember this game in 2 weeks when the playoff start, so I won't make a big deal out of it. If they lay another egg next week vs Miami I might be a little concerned, but for now I will be happy with this win, and even more happy that Houston lost, and now have a shot at the bye.

Ummm....Dude....obviously you missed the game....We BARELY squeeked by the WORST team in the league.....WAKE UP SON!!!!!

What are your thoughts now? Happy Hannukah. Did you watch the game? Obviously from your comments you felt like the Pats would destroy the Jags.....what do you think went wrong? Any weaknesses you have noticed that will affect the postseason? thx

Today's main weaknesses to be fixed going into the postseason...

1. Get Gronk healthy.

2. Get Dennard healthy.

3. Get Talib healthy.

4. Fix the interior OL.

They had a completely revamped defense, played like absolute crap, and won the game. You weren't vindicated. Those saying "It's just the Jags" were vindicated.

We did win though. Give the Jags some credit they really got up for this game, and Chad Henne has substantial experience against the Patriots.

Keep in mind that Mankins and Connolly are still getting healthy and the interior of the Jags defense is big, young and strong.

Surprised this thread hasn't been sent to the practice squad yet ... it's horrible.

Why? Many people here and elsewhere in Boston Media are talking about how the Pats are going to destroy this weak, 2-13 team......and lo and behold WE BARELY beat this team....Now what do you have to say on it? Just an off day? Pats dealing with injuries and had NO ONE to plug in there? Tell us WHY the Pats struggled to win so badly against one of, if not THE worst team in the NFL today....What was it? How do you feel about this team going forward? Make an intelligent post!!!

You should make an intelligent post. We were missing four starters in their positions - Dennard, Talib, McCourty (at S), and Spikes all out. Hernandez was obviously injured and the Pats O was facing some awesome defense by a team with good pass rush and effective man coverage.

Great post. ....and that was part of my initial point. Everyone looking past Henne (who you correctly state has had a decent record against us). Next, the Jags were at home and looking to PROVE that they were not a laughingstock. I think they proved that today against us....and against Houston.....for another example. Mankins...not sure what is happening with him as we get limited info....but I am hoping it is just injury related...and yes connolly is not right. Solder....he is having alot of trouble and apparently that is injury related (Oblique) ALot of issues in critical areas (once again) and we are heading into the playoffs.....we shall see.....

GReat post Kontra......you are right on here. A healthy Gronk helps the O HUGE!!! Dennard and Talib are needed in that secondary....Dennard is a work in progress but better than some of the backups at this point. I think Dennard could be a top shelf CB for this team, or in the league. The secondary issues, lack of pass rush, and weak OL play need alot of help before the playoffs begin. Not sure that Pats have what it takes this year to make it to the SB.....but will have to see. My point in this whole thread (Unable to see from the true "Rose colored glasses wearing homers"......is that the Jags were going to come out like this was their SB......They had NOTHING to lose and were therefore dangerous. And, they did exactly what I thought they would.....give us a good game. Don't look past them. Brady and alot of the team came out flat. Yeah we had some injuries....that WILL happen on ANY team this time of year. Got to rely on your backups. Business as usual, don't skip a beat etc. We BARELY won today. Alot of alarms going off. Hopefully BB will be able to plug the leaks and keep this team moving strongly into the playoffs. Go Pats

Cmon sir....I am the one who said that we should NOT take the Jags lightly, which many here and in the NE media were doing. Even if we had Dennard, and Talib at full strength.....it came down to a desperate team, at home on any given sunday.....and they almost beat us. Hernandez was "obviously injured"? Not sure what you mean by that? Did they disclose something about him that I missed? Yes....the Pats O was facing a good pass rush......and a desperate team who was out to prove something (IE play their SB today) Thanks for your "intelligent" post Doc,.......
