I was a bit surprised that Adam got booed. He clutched 3 SB game winning FGs and left because BB didn't commit to a contract. I wasn't expecting cheers but the obvious uptick in booing when he attempted FGs was surprising.

Congrats on the win. Didn't think the Colts would win but didn't expect 59 either.

Thanks, much appreciated. I'm sure we will have many good games in the future.

I've been hearing that BB did a lot of defensive coaching on the sidelines after the Colts scored those 14 points. While the offense was on the field he had the chalkboard up putting things together for the Defense. Lots of tweets about it and they asked him about it during the press conference.

Yes, I noticed him being a little more into the motioning on the sidelines. That question on the chalk board was mentioned at the presser, but he gave his normal answer....none:p

Dungy is such a tool.

Dung-heap still has Chronic RED ***** from the amount of times the Pats slammed him over and over, year after year. This guy must have a lifetime endorsement for Preparation H.......pathetic bastid.....

The Patriots lost to the Cards and damn near lost to the Bills. I wouldn't get too ****y for rolling over a team with a rookie QB in a rebuilding year.

A win's a win. The record speaks for itself. The Pats arent in a rebuilding year?

Why not? There were many who thought the rooky QB would roll over the Patriots easily.

Edelman has a pretty good case as the best punt returner in Pats history. He has the highest career PR average, the highest single-season PR average (2010), is on pace (with a small sample size) to set a new franchise PR average record this year, and has just tied the franchise record with the third PR TD of his career.

To be fair they barely won last time. And pats barely beat the bills two weeks ago. I think it will be a blowout but, it's not crazy to think the jets will have a chance.

Considering the how last game played out and the fact BB is 1-2 vs Rex in NY, anyone expecting this to be a blowout should be prepared to be disappointed.

Wasn't the first time. Some people are just jerks.

It will not even be close.

It's not what he said so much as the timing. I'm not used to seeing post game shows of blow out games where the blowout team is the underdog for the next game against a team with a worse record than the one that just lost.

I don't expect a blow out, but I do expect the Pats to win this one.

Personally, I was disappointed in Adam.....he could have had an incredible legacy here in NE....He had MANY endorsements throughout NE and could have gotten many more locally and nationally. Brady is a true Patriot and continues to re-work his contract and "works" with the Pats to get deals done. Seriously, does anyone NOT think that Brady could have gone somewhere else for more money when his contract was coming up.......The guy WANTS to be here and will do what it takes to get that done....even if it means taking a bit of a hometown discount. I will always remember Adam for his kick in the snow ball and to win the SB's he helped win.....but he is no longer a Patriot, I will never think of him again as a Patriot....and my lasting memory of him is as a traitor.....He never REALLY tried to make it work for the rest of his career here in NE.....and traded it all away to kick in a freakin dome.....

Well the biggest dif in the way BB played his defenses today appeared to me to be in the obvious passing downs like third and long where recently he has been reluctant to blitz even then. I suspect that BB looked at the secondary play he was getting early in the game and decided that at least in prime blitz situations he could afford to blitz and he did much more of it than he has.

The Colts inability to deal with the Pats jumping Luck's snap count was a huge issue for the Colts from the point the Pats got into it pretty early in the game. It really made a mess of the Colts running game which had been enjoying some success early.

There are so many aspects of this game that sort of tell you that the Pats problems on defense are not really coaching. Luck has done much better against the league generally than he did today. Pats made him look like a rook and then some.

I hope Joe, some Jet fan From Ganggreen.......gets some genital warts on his raisin sized ball sack!!!! Freakin crybaby!!!!

Good to see the performance of the Pats defense improve during the game.

I always felt that the Pats front seven was solid throughout the season. Starting last week, however, after the bye, the front seven appeared flat-footed. This seemed to continue into this game with the first quarter performance. It seems that the front seven got out of its funk after the first quarter and will hopefully continue doing what they were doing in the first half of the season (applying decent pressure, and excelling against the rush) throughout the second half and into the playoffs.

The secondary was something that clearly needed a lot of tweaking over the course of the season. McCourty was switched to safety (due to need with Chung and Gregory sidelined). But with his performance improving, it appears that the team has the intention of him remaining there. His football intelligence (and general intelligence) is an asset to him at safety...but not as much as CB.

We've seen the team make the switch to Dennard who has proven to have a degree of consistency. With Talib, we now have two CB's who appear to perform at a level that can perform at a high level. Who would have guessed that these two players would be our starters at this point in the year?

Changes to defensive backfield:

1. Cutting Sterling Moore
2. Moving McCourty to safety
3. IR for Dowling
4. Moving Dennard to starting on the defensive right side
5. Moving Arrington out of the starting role at his defensive right side
6. Cole gaining more playing time at nickel/dime in slot coverage

Some of the above changes (not sure if I missed a big one) were out of need (like Dowling going to IR), but were also made out of tweaking the secondary. This isn't anything earth-shattering. Sometimes players don't perform as well as expected and changes need to be made. But to some degree, this is evidence of the coaches giving the current guys and the status quo some time to work out, and then moving on to other options. It's good to see the active management work out.

Last year, the Pats secondary was equally lackluster as the first of this season. In 2010, however, we may have forgotten that the secondary was actually decent. They had the most interceptions of any team in the NFL, and it wasn't just because of McCourty's great season. The team largely had different players that were key to that secondary, but it goes to show that this team CAN have a quality secondary. The achilles heal of that defense/team was the abysmal pass rush. Now we've got one, even if one were to call it average, at least it's existent.

As mentioned by others, this is only one game, but this could be the culmination of an improving defense (not to be confused with a dominant one).

Just got in from Foxboro...see the usual CL nonsense on other threads...just curious, is anyone logged on in this thread that was AT the game???...I don't see any threads about the officiating so let me say, as a fan who saw the game in person, that was the worst one sided ref job I've seen since...well...since we played the Dolts in Indy with Manning...it was unbelievable...it got so bad in the 4th quarter the refs stopped calling MULTIPLE fouls on Indy that were so blatant the playewrs on the sideline were looking and then throwing their hands up in disgust....clips in the back by Indy, allowed on EVERY kickoff....holding and tackling D lineman...all game...refs looking right at it...then they call Solder over and over for real questionable calls...and the Mayo hit on the "Chosen Dolt" in the 4th?...what the hell was THAT???? I was thirty yards away, having crept down to an empty seat with my brother...roughing the passer????????????????? WTF was THAT???? Totally legit play ...a good play by Mayo.

Both halves were dotted with favorable, possibly game changing Colt gifts from the ref crew....too bad Brady and the banged up offense destroyed the big mouth chest thumpers from Cindy....nice try Goodell....

One more thing...Edelman has got on my nerves all season with his drops and bad decisions...I admit, I was biatching and moaning after he dropped a pass in the first quarter, to the point of being told to (Please be quiet - edited)....I am officially OFF the Bash Edelwagon.,...THIS is what I and many other Pats fans have been waiting for....THE game where he finally puts it all together and becomes the player he showed the potential to be. This kid ran electric wires through the fans in the stands with his play today. Anybody else that was there get the same feeling??? He was decisive every single time he touched the ball no matter if it was offense or kicks....I want to see the entire offense healthy by playoff time and see what they can do....fifty nine points...and they could have put up more....this is Joe "Homer' Kerr, turning it back over to the Fball CL's that just have to spew their contrarian, negative garbage like they do every game day here....try GOING to a game once in a while and running your stupid yaps in the stands like you do here...that's all that was missing today during breaks, a clown show.
