Where is the news story? It was a nice email, nothing shocking.

From my understanding, the story is how the Post twisting the meaning of the email from a wife with the best of intentions eliciting support/prayer from friends/loved ones for her husband via email to a wife petitioning prayers from friends for her tormented and frightened quarterback husband who is facing the most physical and ferocious pass rush since the Monsters of the Midway.

Also, it's none of my business, but what a nice email. She's awesome.

It would have been news if she were asking her F&F to pray that the Pats lose because she has her dough on the Gints. This is just a private, loving request and, as you say, IT'S NONE OF OUR OR ANYONE'S DAMN BUSINESS!!!

I don't get it. Releasing private emails is never okay, but if you were going to do it, wouldn't you at least release one that had something... controversial? The only thing weird about this entire series of events is that it got published in the Post.

Then again, this is pretty much just par for the course in the Rupert Murdoch "journalism" family.

What a scandal! This could be bigger than when John Tamase released a report that the Pats taped the Rams' walkthrough on the eve of the Super Bowl. Imagine, a wife of a players trying to show support for her husband to her friends and family.

What a non-story. I don't know why someone would leak this e-mail to the press and why the Post would even run it? I'm sure there were plenty of other wives and/or girlfriends of players who have written sappier e-mails to support their husband/boyfriend.

Besides that, it's a really nice email - I don't see how it is "mock-worthy". Most guys probably would love it if their wives were that supportive.

There is a lot of jealousy w/ Brady, a guy who seemingly has it all. And he also seems like a genuinely nice guy. Haters gonna hate, as they say - tearing down successful people is the American way, or at least in the media.

Exactly. I respect Gisele Bundchen alot more as a person and a supportive wife after reading about that than I did before.

Whoever wrote that so mockingly for the Post and their editors really misfired. They must be miserable with their own lots in life.

Good intentions do not shield one from poor choices.

We probably all get some chain emails all the time. When you look at the list that they were sent to, you don't know 25%. Then they send it of to more people and those people send it to more people. It was a given that jsut one of those who got it would feed it to the press.

I'm not excusing the Post for putting it on the front page like the magaots they are. But G should have known it would get out there and the wrong person may have received it down the chain.

Honestly, why would she care?

This reflects more on the life miseries of the people mocking it than it does on the support of a loyal wife.

She's not hurt by this.

The New York media is tough on the local teams? What a joke; nothing could be further from the truth.

Has always been a joke. The NY media is tough on what it perceives as a threat to NY relevance which is closely tied to their own. They loved Herm's colorful banter even absent tangible performance. They ball wash anyone who blows bravado scented smoke up the Big Apple's skirt (Rex). They worship anyone who ever wins anything for them, however insignificant or fleeting. They also turn on their own like a pack of jackels once the bloom is off the rose or if they perceive you marginalizing their relevance via your own lack thereof. There have been critical stories there for the persuing for the last 3-4 seasons particularly where the JETS are concerned. Yet it takes a stunning relevation for which those devulging it have taken more heat than the management or players facilitating it for them to gain even limited traction. Had the Giants been one and done after backing in to the division and the dance at 9-7, they'd have been calling for Coughlin's head on a pike because he doesn't pander to them. Rex meanwhile would continue fly under their radar either way even with the JETS in shambles because he does.

It's different in Boston where the over riding issue is reinforcing the perception of media intellectual superiority to the fans, the local 5-6-9-22 (take your pick) and their management no matter what they do. Kind like the case with some posters here.

Not sure how the Post got a private email but with the events going on in the United Kingdom about newspapers owned by a corporation owned by Rupert Murdoch, it does raises some eyebrows.

this is just another attempt to distract the patriots before the super bowl with a new york team involved. last time it was the taped walk thru that didn't exist.it doesn't matter what is in the text/email, it now becomes a reason to hound tom and the team with questions. anything to break the focus from the game to reaction questions. i am not a conspiracy nut, but this seems to reek in its timing and intent.

This really came across to me in a positive way, I never thought too much about Gisele, but she seems like a regular person here, concerned for her man.

It flips the script between Boston and NY.
Ny likes to think of themselves as classy, sophisticated, traditionally dog Boston for being the homers, no mqatch for them.
here, the classy couple reps Boston, and they get Eli.

So, lets hate them because they are classy, good lokking, successful, and oh how icky, actually love each other.
