My advice, try EBAY.
Just landed 2 tix in row 4 of the mezzanine, $265 each.

They did lose that suit. But it doesn't mean that they have to back off on their own policing. It's quite common practice to for some pharmaceutical companies to give a unique bar code to an item that links it to the original purchaser. Then if the product is supposed to be only sold via one rout, and is appearing in large volumes in other avenues, they buy it, scan it and black list the person that originally purchased. It keeps the integrity of the company and product safe. The pats could easily do the same. They won't, but they could.

But you have no way of IDing people that bought them on Stubhub. You would either need to BUY the ticket to do the scan, in which case you are spending 300+ dollars to bust 1 person (which is wildly ineffective), or you would need to ID people entering the stadium, which would make the lines 10 miles long. And what about people that are like "yea, i got separated from my friend in line, he bought the tickets"? It's really a logistical nightmare.

And trust me, the Pats WANT to fix that issue, they want anyone selling tickets to go through the exchange because they have deals with Ticketmaster to take a cut of the processing fee, or exclusivity agreements for lump sum cash, not because they want you to get cheap tickets.

When season ticket holder buy playoff game...are they printed tickets or E tickets?

My tickets have a name on them..guy who originally bought them which is normal..but i didn't think season ticket holder got E tickets..but i guess i am wrong?

I got them on Sunday night. So he had the E tickets before they were announced to public..so he has to be a season ticket holder...right?..just wondering because i didn't think season ticket holder got E tickets

I've bought and sold on there many many times, never sold any pats tickets though. I've had a few concerts I wanted to go to and then plans change. It used to be much cheaper, but they have really cranked up the fees. Once upon a time it was 15% of the sale from the seller. Now its 15% from the seller, 10% from the buyer, and 4.95 to DOWNLOAD the tickets, or 15 bucks to fedex them. Thats a ton of fees.

And on top of that there was a $30 checked bag fee.

We need a Southwest equivelant to stubhub.

That would be nice..but Stubhub has so much of the market..it's tough

I'm shocked no one has gotten in on this ticketmarket. There are 800 other companies that do what stubhub does, but they are all clones charging the same price and not differentiating themselves.

Can't a ticket company make money off 10% from the seller, shipping paid by the buyer? That's still a lot of money for a relatively simple site, and would be 25% less than stubhub per transaction!

That is my thinking.

Really, what is the cost to stubhub? 5-10% fee + actual cost of shipping would yield a nice profit. Add in banner add revenue on the website.

Anyone want to partner up for a ticket agency? :D

This about ticket brokers is you need a guarantee. If you buy tickets on stubhub and they don't get you in ect...you will most likely get your $$ back..you may not be able to see the event (stub hub says they will place you somewhere if you get there and you can't get it) but you will see your $$

The complaints about stubhub are usually with the seller not shipping in time..fed ex losing package ect...don't see many if any complaints about not being able to get into games

As long as we make a site with guarantees..we are good..

Would love to but don't have the capital.

As for guarantee. In exchange for more reasonable fee stucture, here is how the guarantee works.

1. The seller must ship via a method of reciept verification (Fedex, UPS, certified mail etc)

2. If the package doesn't arrive in time then the seller doesn't get paid.

3. If the package does arrive on time but the buyer isn't home to sign for it, the buyer loses out.

4. Seller has option to purchase insurance or not on the package, but if the package is lost, then the claim for loss is between the seller and shipper -- not us.

5. If the buyer can't get in because the seller sold conterfiet tickets, not only doesn't the seller get paid, but we report said seller to FBI.

6. Any claims by the seller must be reported no later than 24 hours after the start of the event.

7. Seller gets paid by ETF 96 hours after the start of said event.

Okay, a tiny bit more risk with us than with Subhub. And you don't get paid until we are certain we won't have to refund the buyer. But with much lower prices.

Most of these are already in place. You skip all the trouble by having everythign done by insured/signatured fedex and not giving people a choice. The sellers on stubhub only get paid after the tickets arrive and the buyer confirms. The only possible issue is the tickets are fake or copies etc, and thats why all sellers have a valid credit card on file for charges.

You will never get sellers to wait until after the event to get paid, some events are 8-10 months in advance. I bought neil diamond tickets in November for a concert in June!

we would need something in place like stub hub does...were they don't allow someone else or same person to post those seats again ect but that's a given

What %?

Do we need to be greedy and drive every other ticket resale site out of business to be profitable? So we won't get a big slice of the Neil Diamond bought in November for a June concert.

I doubt said policy would deter someone from using such a site to sell tickets for the AFCCG on Wednesday for a game on Sunday.

And some sellers might be willing to wait 6 months to get 15% more money. After all no bank is going to give 30% interest.

See your over thinking this. The original purchaser of the ticket is the one that made the agreement with the New England Ticket Office Policy. What happens to that ticket from thereafter is the responsibility of the original purchaser, unless it was sold via the Exchange. Then a new person assumes responsibility.

So if the Pats rebuy all the tickets that are on ticket sites - which there are no rules that say they can't - they can ID the person(s) that originally bought those tickets. It will cost a lot of up front dollars, sure, but that is what is called a loss-leader system. They'll lose up front, but in the resale back via the exchange, they recoup some. And then down the line, the need to rebuy tickets would decline very sharply if every one of those tickets purchases from a ticket service cost someone their season tickets or the spot on the waitlist. Seriously, ask yourself. If you know that the Pats are likely (not guaranteed) to buy your sitting there for sale tickets at Stub Hub, and they do, and you are the person that these tickets have listed as the original purchaser, and you lose your season tickets over a silly thing like this, would you risk it. I bet many wont. Some will, as they always do. But hey, then we who would act more honestly can move up the list faster and those that have ST and act honestly, more power to them.

This is all semantics though...I just want tickets. lol

Agreed, entirely semantics, but you are talking about millions in ticket purchases for a regular season game. Not to mention, you would find a TON of them are agents, players, friends of players, friends of the organization, suppliers, Putnam's Investment bankers, etc. Would you bust all those people and piss off the hand that feeds you? Again, there really aren't a lot of ways to bust people without hurting your own revenue streams.

But I welcome the conversation, academic though it may be.

I bought season tickets from a guy i know in section 240. They were purchased for a friend who now bailed because family issues. I purchased them for 250 each and I would like to get my money back if anyone is interested on here. If you are just drop me a line [email protected] and if you could just put in the email that your from patsfan.com. I can meet on sunday at the game. Let me know
Dan

I'm pretty pissed...there was a good 35-40 tickets that just popped up last hour in the 300's... had the "Buy" link which took me to the next screen which told me how much it would cost and that I had 2 minutes to enter my Pats account info... I did in less than 5 seconds and the tickets got released every single time....

Not sure how this is fair to those on the wait list. Should've copied the seat numbers and gone and compared to new Stubhub listings.

mot sub hub users only list rows...and not seat #s
