Do the pats really have a pass rush? Tebow is one thing, but can they stop an establish passing team.

The game will be determined by the rushes
The pats have to stop the rushing game
give a decent a pass rush on flacco and cover down the field
And PROTECT BRADY FROM THE PASS RUSH AT ALL TIMES!!

Most teams loose the ability to bring the pass rush after TB sustains the no huddle. It just gases the opposing defenses, much like a stout running game.

If TB reaches the ability to run the no huddle, the Ravens are in for a long game. It means Tom has figured out what the defense is trying to accomplish. It all Tom Terrific at that point.

Since when are the Ravens considered "an established passing team"? Last I looked, the Ravens were a run first team and if you stop the run, they have a very hard time doing anything.

It's going to be a tough game. Arrington will have to be on Smith with Moore on Boldin. I think that Fletcher/Mayo/ Chung can handle Pitta/****son/Rice in the passing game. Pressure on Flacco, as you mentioned, will need to be there.

Of course, the Ravens can respond with a never-ending procession of mysterious injuries.

The Ravens can be had with the "death by a thousand paper cuts pass attack". They love sticking Reed out there in single high coverage and their linbackers are stout. Kill em underneath and get the ball out quick. Plenty of mismatches to be had on this team, just don't let them tee off on you. Thier gonna try to pressure right up the middle, I see a guy like Hernandez or Welker having a big day. Then Gronk once they start sittin on those short routes.

Stop Ray Rice.

i've seen flacco throw bombs against teams.

Yes, you can disregard 40 sacks if you like. But they are clearly getting to the QB. I don't know, but we won't find out this week. Baltimore is not an established passing team. They rank 19th in passing. Ray Rice led the team in receptions and it wasn't close. Rice was also 3rd in receiving yards.

Don't disagree with any of this. However Flacco is 22nd in the league in YPA, which tells me he doesn't complete to many passes in the vertical game. This is reflected in his WR's numbers and the fact that he is 16 in completions over 20+ yards and 18th in 40+ yard completions. He has a 80.9 QB rating.

As I said earlier stop or contain Rice in both the running and passing game and the Ravens offense will fail.

Kinda funny..I was more tense and worried about tebow than the ravens although logic says it should be the other way around. I hope the pats oline shows up

I heard that the Ravens coaching staff is upset about the fact that Patriots hired Josh McDaniels and plan on countering by hiring Jenny Craig.

Hey, look who is back!!!!!! On Friday you were saying our db's were ball watchers. Let's have more words of wisdom.

Alvinnf, any thoughts on who the Ravens will use to cover Wes, Gronk, and Aaron? I also think the Pats are going to throw a new wrinkle at Baltimore that we have not seen yet.

I just worry about not being able to stop Rice, having them run up and down the field on us.

Geez, Harbaugh is so damn sure of himself and his team. I don't know what to make if his "By any means possible" declaration. One thing I DO know for sure is they've got the ugliest collection of individuals in the NFL next to the Jersey Green Beans. Suggs is one ugly mofo, and Ray Lewis is looking weirder by the day.

my 6 yr old cousin sounds smarter than suggs

2 things

1. That scum #31 will play...I hate him

2. Media will only mention what the birds did last time in 2010 but wont mention Welker was injured...BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

And Gronk and Hernadez. The Patriots are much better than they were with the last of Moss.

Back in 09 we had no welker...watson as TE and maroney as RB...MUCH different

This is the season of retribution, first the Jets, next the Ravens and finally the Giants! All debts will be paid this post season!:rocker:

I wonder if Ocho will provide any insight during meetings as did play that team 2x a year. Maybe this can be his biggest contribution so far.

We forgetting that our run D has been solid this year...not great but solid. Now with everyone healthy we saw what they did to the leading rushing team in the league 10+ negative plays...Spikes and Chung greatly improve the run D
