Just to start off that i'm highlighting the word SHOULD because i'm trying not to sound overconfident but using logic instead.
OK so first of all the reason i think we beat the Ravens is simple, they're not the defense they were a few years ago IMO despite where they rank in the league and Brady is the only QB in the league that can look off the greatest safety in the history of the game - Ed Reed.
We'll score too many points and that brings my second reasoning - Joe Flacco. The guy is just not elite. He can no way keep up with Brady and especially if our defense shows up like it did last night. They'll hand off to Rice until they're down by a couple of scores which will nullify their run game and then Flacco will throw into trouble against a D that makes a living on picks and fumbles.
So should we beat the Ravens next week i am expecting to face the 49ers in Indy. You're gonna say 'what! are you crazy?' No i'm not because when you think about it the 49ers have a better D than the Giants and when you really think about it Brady has always been better than Brees but the 9ers needed a last second play to beat him. Brees is also better than Eli so i'm going by the logic that until the 49ers face the very best QB in the league they'll beat all infront of them.
To how i think a potential SB matchup between ourselves and San Fran? It will probably a 10 point Pats win when i look at it matchup wise. I just don't see any team that can stop the receiving trio of Gronk, Welker and Hernandez. You can't blanket all of them and Brady's acurracy will prove to be too much against against Alex Smith who's only reliable target is Davis and when it comes to playing against TE's the pats usually come out on top.
Warning: Like i said the elite RB's that the Ravens and 49ers have that we simply do not have are the only worries but once Tom gives us a cushion they have to abandon the run and throw to their shaky receivers and that's when we capitalise with takeaways.
Your thoughts?
