Edelman, Brady & Martinez get together

Uh, Edelperson LIVES out there. It is significant that via whatever means he's gotten one-on-one time with the GOAT

This. He lives there and Brady can't throw to Martinez.

Welker won't be traded. Who else moves the chains better than Welker in the NFL today?

Welker took his punishment for making fun of the Jets/Ryan. That's done and over, what other issues has he caused to make you think he's a problem?

I can help but think if Brady selected Edelman to get together with him and Martinez that there's more credibility to the rumors that Welker will be traded.
Pure BS. Welker won't be traded and there's room for both Welker and Edelman in this offense. Who in God's name would trade Welker?

Maybe he won't be, but I can see it happening, I can see BB doing it.

Absolutely. Tate & Price would rent a mother-in-law apartment in San Jose if it meant they could train with Brady. Brady and Martinez agreeing to work with Edelman is no accident. Chalk one up for the young person.

Why change things? We have a gem in Welker, backed up by the Patriot family Jules.

Brady training with Edelman really bodes well for the young WR.....If they get that timing thing down, that slot position will be almost impossible to defend....Wes and Julian .....

I can't see Wes leaving just yet...but BB has done stranger things to field a competitive team....

Welker is my favorite NFL player. However he is in the last year of his contract and will be 31 when he begins his next deal. Given BB's history of not giving long or large new contracts to (non-QB) players on the wrong side of 30, nothing would surprise me.

No, but despite Welker being one of the best slot receivers in the NFL, and playing a position known for divas, he's said all the right things and has never played differently depending on whether he's in a contract year.

It feels right for Welker getting another contract. It doesn't at all feel like Seymour or Branch.

I think Wes would be glad to stay with the Pats and Brady....smells like hometown discount to me ;)

Because, like Edelperson, they had to teach him what it meant to be an NFL WR, since he came from a wacky run-heavy offense, and due to the NCAA's asinine rules, he couldn't join the team until OTAs were almost all over.

WHAT?????

Edelman was a QB man. you did know that right?

Price came from the run heavy O

OK. Just to be clear:

Like Edelperson, they had to teach Price what it meant to be an NFL WR. Price came from a wacky run-heavy offense; due to the NCAA's asinine rules, he couldn't join the team until OTAs were almost all over.

you altered that quote

what I quoted

I was simply trying to clarify what I meant in my original post (namely that the "Like Edelperson" part referred only to the first part, not the entire sentence).

If you misinterpreted it, I'm sorry I wrote it in a way that left it open to misinterpretation.

sorry...you must now be beheaded...in public...do you have a date in mind???

Funny, I understood what ct meant....

But with a plethora of nitpickers on this MB......clarity is a must ;)

People with their own agendas will read into things what they want if your post is not perfectly and clearly worded....:rocker:

The sentence was awkward, but it was still understandable to me.

usually in a sentence their is a noun. The person or thing mentioned was not TP but Edelperson. Therefore he is the subject and TP does not exist b/c not mentioned:eek:

I dont care FYI- I just didn't get it when I read it b/c Edel was only player mentioned

let's just kill it- not an issue

As much as I appreciate grammar nazis, you are completely wrong. Let's break down this sentence piece by piece.

Because, like Edelperson, they had to teach him what it meant to be an NFL WR

The subject of the sentence is "they" (the Patriots coaching staff), so you are wrong on that point to begin with. The other two objects in the sentence are "Edelperson," and "him." "Edelperson" and "him" are clearly established to be different objects because "Edelperson" is part of a prepositional phrase. Therefore we can conclude "him" is TP contextually.

since he came from a wacky run-heavy offense, and due to the NCAA's asinine rules, he couldn't join the team until OTAs were almost all over.

Since we have already established that the male pronoun (him/he) is being used to refer to TP, this sentence does, in fact, make sense.

If you're going to nitpick grammar, at least be correct about it. Secondly, don't act like it's impossible to interpret grammatically incorrect sentences and fill a post with :confused::confused: and ???????s.

You have made a mistake TheSolderKing; there is no shame in admitting it.
