This made me laugh.
That was rather funny.

No.. Ward was knocked out with a NECK INJURY. If they come back and claim it was a concussion, they were either lying during the game or lying now.. They Steelers staff went out of their way to call it a neck injury several times.
Don't just leave before we hear your views on spygate.
Tomlin already came out and said it was a concussion. It was obvious what was going on. The Steelers report the injury as neck, so they could keep open the possibility of him going back in. If they call it a concussion, he's out of the game immediately. So they manipulated injury rules to keep him eligible, which is exactly what the league is trying to stop. I'm positive nothing will come of it, but it is interesting to note.
Personally, I'd do the same thing.
oh, me to. But I bet if Belichick did it, we'd be hearing all sorts of crap from the media about how he "manipulates" the injury report, etc.

You know, in earlier times, this board used to attract a much better class of trolls. Nowadays it seems like we only get the the serious jackwagons, the ones with mommy issues and language problems. Sort of the Football Tourrettes' types, as it were.
Where did we go wrong?
With the new concussion guidelines, it would be stupid for a team to prematurely call something a concussion. The smart move is to be absolutely certain before using that label.
The Steelers kept Ward out of the game. That's the important thing.
I saw no helmet to helmet hit. They brushed together.
So, the Steelers lied yesterday during the game.. Got it.
The Steelers initially said Hines Ward was knocked out with a “neck” injury even though it was pretty clear that he was dazed and confused after taking a shot to the head on Sunday night.
After the game, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin admitted that Ward suffered a concussion. (The team likely called it a neck injury at first in case they wanted to bring Ward back in the game.) Ward said after the game he could have returned, but he wasn’t allowed.
Sanders' hit is a great example of why the helmet-to-helmet stuff is stupid. This game is way to fast. Like Pyror's hit, there was nothing wrong with it. But he'll be fined regardless, just because.
Also: anyone find it funny that Steelers fans are crying about this hit? Talk about irony. They got beat at their own game, knocked the **** out last night.
