99% of the commentary after a road win is negative.
Sorry that I decided to point out a positive and sorry that it is so rare on this board that you are offended that one person mentioning something positive is raining on your right to complain.

Not offended at all bro. Just saying negativity and positivity is only natural as long as no one is perfect.

What negativity? If anything people here are getting too carried away.

That team that went 16-0 played a few stinkers themselves. . . .

Forget them. Both 14-2 Super Bowl winning teams had some wins where they played far less than perfect. In 2003 against the Giants, Brady completed 8 of his 21 passes and the defense scored as many TDs as the offense did. That same year against the Browns, the Pats won 9-3. Against Houston that year, they were up 21-10 in the fourth and had to win in overtime.

they haven't lost a division game, they are ahead right now.

I disagree. The first tie breaker is head to head and that is incomplete.
Once they come here, then the tiebreaker would be relevant.
Same with division games because it only reflects us playing there, and does not reflect them playing here.
In other words, the still have to beat us in our house for that tiebreaker to be meaningful

They played poorly. They're not a bad team...

Hey Tom Brady said that we didn't play great, what a chicken little.
Who said they played great?

They won. There are 2 possible results in this game.
Win or Loss.
They won.
99% of the posting on this board is negative, and the 1% that is positive is being criticized by you.
Would you rather 'play well' and lose?

The Jets lead the AFC East

The one stat that matters today against a tough team on the road?

Why would pointing out the record of the team be 'popping champagne'?
Amazing to me that after a win on the West Coast against a team most people predicted we would lose to, that making a positive comment is considered irrational amongst the complainig that has taken over since the win ended.

I said I was happy with the win but Im not particularly happy with the way we played on the offensive side of the ball. Rodney Harrison just said "if you are the New England Patriots you have to be disappointed offensively". We win the turnover battle 4-0, and we win the game by 3 points? We put up under 200 yards of offense (the lowest since 2000). Im happy that we are 5-1 but come on, if we play that way against Pittsburgh or the Jets (again) I don't think the game will be close. We didn't capitalize on most of our opportunities. Stay off the board if you don't want to hear criticism. Nobody is saying we suck, nobody is saying we aren't a good team but a little disappointment is to be expected. It is amazing to me that making a slight criticism after the way we played is amazing to you.

What is positive that I critiqued?

people act like we blew teams out when we won superbowls. we won games just like this. every week was a win in a different fashion. I'm proud of this team, they're young and are the owners of a record that more than half the league would kill for. this is an odd year where parity is evident. the browns soundly beating the superbowl champions, the bills taking the ravens to the brink, and the "elite" steelers squeaking out a win against a team we blew out. I suggest we all just enjoy the win. there's no elite team this year. one week a team will look great and the next, horrible. At least we're winning and showing the resolve we all wanted last year. I swear some of you would complain if we squeaked out a superbowl victory.

the negativity about how awful this win was, but I wanted to point out that this team is tied for the best record in the NFL

True....but their last two wins were really quite lucky.....dont you think? Ravens had us in sights....then blew it......Today, we failed to generate POINTS off 3/4 turnovers......and were lucky to escape with an embarrassing win against the Chargers today. Trust me Andy.,.....this team will not be in the SB this year.......Too many inconsistencies.....and too many holes. Getting rid of Moss WILL overall hurt this offense.....didn't affect us that bad last week.......DID effect us today.....could not get alot going until mid third qtr offensively. Basically, in summary, don't get your expectations too high this year Andy....and you will be fine

I was unaware that being objective made me a chicken little or negative

Anyone who thinks the team played well today is either drunk, or a blind homer. I'm stoked we got the win, but wow was did we look terrible. The receiving corps had club hands, the line couldn't block and the coaching staff got soft and played not to lose

Again, we played a bad game. I'm happy with the season and they way things are going, but we didn't look great

Which is what makes this win impressive IMO. The fact that we could travel across the country to play a very talented and desperate team, play poorly on Offense, with a defense full of rookies and 1st year starters, after playing 5 quarters of extremely physical football, and WIN the game is impressive.

Unfortunately far to many people can't think outside of the 3 hours of football they just watched.

Stay off the board if you think you have to control what anyone posts.
After a big win, tying the team for the best record in the NFL, all of the discussion is negative, as if today was a bad thing.

Nobody is saying we suck, nobody is saying we aren't a good team but a little disappointment is to be expected. It is amazing to me that making a slight criticism after the way we played is amazing to you.

Where did I say I am amazed at slight criticism.
What I am amazed at is immediately following a win (in a game most fans expected a loss) that virtually every post on the board is negative, and I point out that the Patriots are tied for the best record in the NFL, and FANS feel the need to complain about me not posting something negative about this dreadful win.

Why was the Ravens game lucky? What mental error did they make to give up the game. The Pats' defense stepped up and shut down the Ravens offense. Let's give the Pats credit where credit due.

If you want to play that game, the Pats were just unlucky to make the game even come down to a field goal attempt. Their defense dominated the Chargers' offense for three quarters and played prevent in the fourth.

ok fair enough but its just that if we play this way or like we did against the Ravens in the playoffs, don't expect the board to be ****ting roses.

Do you expect the team not to get criticized? Everybody gets criticized. We can't pretend the team is perfect as long as they win.

Who is saying the team was perfect today? You are just blinded to how impressive this win was.

Did you watch the Ravens today? They didn't have to travel across the country, they didn't play a talented team and yet they had to go into overtime to win it. That is what last weeks game did to these two teams.
