after that it's a crap shoot. I think we need to address all those positions, and after that we pick BPA.
If I calculating this right, as of now the Patriots should have 8 picks in the 2011 draft
Round #1 Oakland's pick-Seymour trade OL- Tackle or center
Round #1 NE's pick Top DE
Round #2 Carolina's pick draft day trade Solid OLB
Round #2 NE's pick RB best on board
Round #3 NE's pick OL- Tackle
Round #4 Denver's pick -Maroney trade DE or DL
Round #4 NE's pick Guard if needed (or a trade for a next year 3)
Round #5 NE's Pick D-Line
Round #6 N.O.'s pick -David Thomas trade RB or WR
Round #6----> traded to Denver for Maroney
Round #7 NE's pick
Compensatory pick- one likely for losing Watson/Jarvis Green offset by signing Crumpler
-------------------
Undisclosed/Conditional pick to Atlanta in Ojinnaka trade,
Conditional to Philly for Tracy White
Undisclosed pick to KC for Jarrad Page trade
That's a total of 12 picks with three of them going to Den, Philly,KC and Atlanta for a net of 8 picks, without even considering a possible trade of Mankins.
As for the compensatory, I'm guessing it will be a 5th. Green signed a 4yr $20 million contract which would have been a 5th this year. Watson's 3yr $12 million contract was worth a 6th this year but it will be offset by Crumpler's 2 yr $4.8 million as per adamjt13's blog.
