I am just as confused and as frustrated as you are. It just doesnt make sense when we need another WR and this guy could have been Moss' replacement for whenever he decides to leave, whether its after this season or down the line.

I'm a Cowboys fan, but I'm very disappointed - we needed more help on the OL and defensive backfield(ageing on the OL with no depth, and need a safety).

Bottom line - games are won on the OL and Defense. And especially considering the DBs that get injured on a weekly basis in recent years, BB did the right thing by adding depth, at the very least.

Because Bryant isn't very bright and he is very immature. Oklahoma State reportedly had to pare down his playbook so he could learn the plays. How was he going to learn the Pats' playbook. He doesn't like to block, has a lackadasical attitude, and has maturity issues. Didn't we already draft him? Except his name was Chad Jackson back then.

Every potentially great draft pick does not fit the Pats' system and Bryant definitely looked to fit that category.

This could be very true, but I would hope that it was really as bad as some people were saying. He would have had a play maker veteran in Moss to mentor him on play making and then Holt for route running. Couldnt ask for better mentors than that, and oh yeah his QB would have been Tom Brady. I really really hope BB and staff know for sure this guy is a headcase and a meat head and wouldnt have been a good fit here. He just seems too talented to pass up on...twice

First, I don't see Moss as much of a mentor. He might not be the cancer that people make him out to be and might be a good leader, but I don't see him as a mentor.

Second, a player has to want to change to change. If Bryant is immature as people say and the rumors of him pulling a diva act in team visits is true, the guy might be just a guy who will never change at least until he hits some real adversity in his career.

there are still some good receivers left like golden tate and arrelious benn. plus a lot of people were high on mardy gilyard. i agree though - Dez seems like a much better pick than mccourty.

We could always address our needs on a #1 or #2 receiver next year via draft, free agency, or trade. There are also more wide receivers in this years draft. Damian Williams and Golden Tate could both drop to us in the second round.

Unless Dez Bryant becomes the next Larry Fitzgerald and McCourty doesn't live up to the expectations BB had for him, then we can be disappointed.
