I pray you and all the Donte supporters in here never have a relative or someone die at the hands of a drunk driver, its devastating.
I lost my first girlfriend to a drunk driving accident on 95 in 1972. My first cousin, a R.I. state trooper, was killed on 95 by a drunk driver in '99.My father was a RI State trooper for 22 years. My older brother is a crisis psychologist for police departments statewide and on 24 hour call. I don't know how to make you understand I am NOT a Donte Stallworth supporter because you just refuse to read plain English. The guy who smashed into my girlfriend's vehicle drunk lost his license for 5 years and got a suspended sentence. The man that killed my cousin Jack was a repeat offender and got ten years...got out in five and is on lifetime probation. That is THE LAW.My personal feelings have no bearing on those adjudications, nor should they. Brady's decision to reach out to Stallworth as a friend is HIS business.AND his right in a free society.
I am not trying to fight with you Joker and my sympathies to those you lost because of this unfortunate problem that so many have but can't control or think about before they do it.
My beef is that you had said to another that in 2010, death by Drunk Driving is not considered murder, While it is not murder in MOST circumstances,it is NOT impossible either and probably more common than we know depending on which state this crime occurs in and how they determine malice/intent
Thats what I mean here,A few words make a difference in determining what a post means
However I truly believe if Donte was not a star athlete and just a joe schmoe and not able to hand over huge sums of cash to the victims family to help them get over losing a human life with $$$, he is right now in a cell spending the next few years in prison and the victims family sues him and pursues justice.
Do I think the laws were bent a little in favor of Donte?...I sure do
It happens all the time,Like cops in my area that I know well always tell me "We put them away, the Judge lets them right back out because they are not violent criminals" - Laws are bent more often than you think
