They really mixed up the playcalling today and had Welker run seams and Moss more drags and runs across the middle. Brady is the one who keeps forcing the throw into Welker who was double-teamed most of the time. That's how we lost our last few drives in the 2nd half.
yeah Pat...the thing is, I would have pulled him from the game after he flubber gumped the onside kick...THAT was truly pathetic and for someone with "hands" supposedly, totally unacceptable. It IS possible to work a running play without having Slater as a "blocker" and lining up Welker on the other side of the run.
Look, it's a small point, but it could have REALLY been a different story if Buffalo wasn't offside...Slater does NOTHING for me.
Miami is not going away ...
Brady needs to spread the ball around on 3rd downs. 3 different occasions, he had Faulk WIDE open and went to Welker, only 1 of which was a completion.
Also, on the LeVoir penalty, it was pretty clear that LeVoir thought they were still going with a running play and that Brady had audibled out... the hole on that side was HUGE..
It's plainly clear to me that Brady does not trust O'Brien and is audibling out too often.. The huge difference between O'Brien and McDaniels is that McDaniels was the QB coach for 3(or was it 4) years prior to becoming the OC. O'Brien is in his 1st year as the QB Coach and is the defacto OC. I think the guy is in over his head. That being said, I don't see Weis being brought back. There are going to be plenty of HC jobs available at the end of the year. Washington, Buffalo, Carolina at a minimum. And possibly Jax, Chicago, Oakland, and Cleveland.
The onside kick was flubbed by AIKEN not Slater. Slater may not "do anything for you," but he's one of the best special teamers on the Pats. It may help if you learned which player was which number as well. Then you could truly evaluate them.

Have we clinch playoffs? I am looking at the standings and looks like every thing is in our favor. What am I missing?
You're missing one more W by the Pats. Were we to lose 2 and Miami win out, they own the tie breakers.
Spot on. Brady is having issues with the offense. Some of it is on him but it's flawed. He may have been hinting at this when he remarked postgame that "sometimes we're (the offense) too one dimensional". I'd agree with that sentiment.
