Re: Hayden out Colts

As much as I want The texans to beat the Colts.

I want the Patriots to knife them and kill the fake 0

but then again..... more losses the merrier for the COLTS :)

i just want us to beat miami and the jets first in the next 5 games.

Re: Hayden out Colts

Daniels is actually out for the year. Damn, I wish I would of waited to do my Pro-Line ticket, taking Houston them seems mighty tempting now...

Re: Hayden out Colts

Agreed. A win is a win. Good teams beat bad teams and the Colts have done it.

Agreed. Are the Pats really just 2-2 because the Bills, Titans & Bucs don't count? But wait, maybe if wins over bad teams are fake, than losses to good teams are fake too? So they're 2-1! :p

Re: Hayden out Colts

I hope the Texans beat the snot out of them this weekend and start them on a downward spiral.

i doubt so. every yrone of the afc south teams is hyped to over take the colts andit rarely happens like the titans last yr. Texans havent done anything yet and fully trust them to find the banana peel again and boost more "manning is doing with all these new guys" talk again.

Re: Hayden out Colts

Injuries Happen....

Just be thankful the PATS are relatively healthy

LIGHT, Edelman,Morris,Green

are injuries that have impacted us, but we persevere and win.

I just hope we can stay healthy up Until the Indy Game.

I fear another Injury will happen at some point.... hopefully nothing HUGE

Re: OT: Glass Sanders visits Dr. James Andrew

At this point I just assume that Sanders is out until I hear otherwise.

Re: OT: Colts CB Marlin Jackson out for season with ACL torn in practice Wednesday

Shefter is saying Little Bobby is out for the season :

"ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Colts SS Bob Sanders is done for the season after being diagnosed with a torn biceps tendon."

I would never bet against Manning in an offensive shoot out against any team, including the Pats.

Can the Texans defense slow down Manning ? Depends on which team shows up this week.

Can the depleted Colts defense hold up against the bad Texans ? Probably.

The Texans will have to be at their very best to win this week.

PFT says surgery.

Sanders done for Season

Report: Colts SS Bob Sanders done for season

Sanders
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Colts SS Bob Sanders is done for the season after being diagnosed with a torn biceps tendon.
The tear was discovered while Dr. James Andrews performed what likely was initially only intended to be a "scope" on Sanders' elbow. The loss vaults Melvin Bullitt into the starting lineup full time. Bullitt is one of the top backup safeties in the game, but Sanders is a better playmaker. The Colts are still lucky to have terrific depth and an outstanding scheme. Nov. 6 - 1:04 pm et

Re: OT: Colts CB Marlin Jackson out for season with ACL torn in practice Wednesday

We'll still have to deal with their top offense and will be at risk of their good pass rush diminishing the effect of the loss of the DBs; but, yeah, this means we SHOULD win, even at their place and should light up the scoreboard if we can protect the QB.
Hey, BF.

True about the concerns with Peyton and company on that side of the ball. But that has been a given for so long now I just accept it.

But, while Freeny and Mathis are major headaches (especially if in obvious passing down/distance) to have to contend with, it's been a not so common situation where we go into a Colts game with such a favourable matchup against the Colts secondary like what this one is shaping up to be. That Sanders won't be there also is simply icing on the cake.

I think we'll score early and often such that Freeney/Mathis won't be in their usual "pin their ears back and rush the QB" mode which that defense is predicated on. If my hunch is correct, I like the matchup we'll see on passing downs very much.

Re: OT: Glass Sanders visits Dr. James Andrew

schefter says out for season

did the colts really just lose their entire secondary in 1 week? 2 cb's and sanders at safety all out for at least 4 games to entire season.

we're gonna be playing a diff passing d than colts have had so far.

this is new.

Bad for Indy

OT - Colts injuries

I figure since you have 8 threads open on it one more wouldn't hurt. No pun intended.

So far this week...

Bob Sanders done for the year with a torn bicep tendon
Marlin Jackson done for the year with a torn ACL
Tyjuan Hagler done for the year with a torn bicep
Anthony Gonzalez has surgery to clean up his knee and will miss 2 to 3 more weeks
Kelvin Hayden injured his knee and will miss the next 4 weeks

Big hits, mainly on defense. Next man up.

I'm with you, but I must remind myself that the Colts are a team that can lose a lot but still be really good. Still, with a shaky secondary and a defense that can be run on we'll score our points and I think we'll do surprisingly well against their pass with our vastly improved secondary, especially McGowan being critical likely taking on Clark.

Re: OT: Glass Sanders visits Dr. James Andrew

The ONLY thing holding the Colts together is Peyton Manning and even with him they are starting to feel the weight of injuries becoming insurmountable....If for any reason Peyton gets injured this team won't win another game,to say the burden of this team is on his shoulders is being understated.

BTW: Sanders is definately confirmed gone for the season..Sirius just announced it.

re: OT - Colts injuries - MERGED UMBRELLA THREAD

since I reported most of them.

OUCH:violent:

re: OT - Colts injuries - MERGED UMBRELLA THREAD

Thier undefeated record is in damn serious jeopardy right now.

Unfortunately for the Colts, Manning and Wayne can't play defense...this team could suddenly struggle to win 10 games this year...thier defense is in shambles.
