Brady Angry At...?

Re: Brady Angry At...............?

There's a difference between "gets pissed" and "throws a hissy fit on the sidelines". If Manning had done what Brady did last night, the thread bashing Manning would be dominating this board.

There's also a difference between a hissy fit and a real display of fire and intensity.

Manning does this kind of thing on a series to series basis, as well as throw his players under the bus in post-game pressers. Brady just got pissed off about having to kick another field goal. Not very comparable.

Re: Brady Angry At...............?

Instead, after the last egregious Brady miss of open Moss to the EZ, post play as Brady stood alone in front of the D bench Moss came over behind him and gave him a friendly slap on the back of the head and put his arm around him. Not on TV.

I remember that. The commentators also commented on it (something like "no love lost between these two"). It was great to see. Later, Moss was at the sidelines firing up the crowd. I was glad to see that Moss was in good spirits despite Moss's own missed catches (inlucuding a bomb from Brady, Moss loves those). At that time commentators were talking about how Moss is known to be one of the hardest working players in Foxboro, and how BB called Moss the smartest WR he has ever worked with. Also in Q4, Brady was back in game mode, firing up the O at the sidelines. Commentators said something to the effect "Brady the leader is back, firing up his troops".

I think Brady's outburst though totally justified was directed at the situation in general, not towards anyone in particular. Which is why BB just turned around and walked away quietly with a look that said "Yea, he's not happy but this was just bad luck. I'll just let him vent it out"

well that's just cause rivers is more country than brady haha

Re: Brady Angry At...............?

I've seen a lot of posts about Brady being angry when we didnt score the last red zone trip. Everyone is saying it was toward Galloway, but I don't think it was. It looked to me like he was angry at Aiken for stopping his route just as Brady was throwing, causing him to miss the 3rd down pass.
Galloway just dropped a pass. Aiken stopped like he was giving up on the route, then tried to finish it after he saw the ball thrown to him.
Did Brady make any post game conmments that I missed?

AJ, I agree. If Aiken doesn't stop, that's a TD. Brady got a little fired up.

I LOVE that Brady got fired up. First of all, Brady is classy and is so good about having the backs of his teammates. How many times does he get battered out there and say 'my offensive line played great'.

I look at it like this: He's coming back from major surgery, and for a QB that can hit a gnat that is sitting on a rat's arse in the grass, from 50 yards, getting up to speed with timing/accuracy has got to be frustrating. I had the same surgery, and it does get better and better, as will Brady. Do you know how hard it was for me to staple papers for the first few weeks? :)

Then when a pass is dropped or a receiver gives up on a route, the pressure relief valve let's go a little bit. When asked about it, who does he throw under the bus? Nobody, as usual.

This team is going to be great. I still feel that way. Stay tuned.

Sure, walking off the field and then tossing one or two cusses, or throwing a helmet, etc..., that's "fire and intensity". Sitting on a bench *****ing to nobody in particular is throwing a hissy fit. As I said, if it had been Manning, it would be the #1 thread on the board.

By the way, there are times when a hissy fit isn't a problem. However, for a leader, that time is only when it's clear that you're angry at yourself and not anybody else. If you're going to be a leader, and you feel the need to cuss out a player, you need to do that face-to-face.

...and would you be joining in on the Manning bashing for his hissy fit or did you just reply this way in order to get in a dig on Brady?

I've never seen Manning criticized for *****ing on the bench, which I agree whole heartedly it was one of Brady's UN-finest moments, but with the criticism to the offense I can't say it's to be unexpected. What I HAVE seen Manning laughed at is almost every play that goes wrong, he *****es. When he throws a pick, he *****es. every time my man.

i have yet to see a fiery leader who hasn't thrown their helmet, i've seen brady peyton brees and rivers all do it

it's football

the way to judge these guys IMO (aside from the obvious statistical and intangible bodies of work) , is how they interact with the media

i think they all do a fine job

LOL, homers can't help but criticize one another. I feel the SAME exact way as another Pats fan said. The second I saw Rivers play through that my perception tottally changed. I too think Rivers has cut down some of the taunting as well. Leaders are leaders because they have the nuts to lead you into the frying pan, and the nuts to tell a person whats up, be it productive criticism or just not backing down. People don't understand that's what seperates these guys from all the other QBs

i've seen peyton blame himself when it was truely his fault

i like qbs who get mad at themselves

now if it's a guy who is constantly blaming someone else (like cutler) then that's a problem

i don't think peyton is that guy

Why would I do it to get in a dig on Brady? I love Brady and I love his fire. I'm not a proponent of the 'quiet strength' approach. This time, he should have channeled it in a better manner, that's all. As a leader, he has to know that.

yeah he took 08 totally off , as far as talking and smack at all on the field, then he comes back game 1 and gets a bs taunting flag for telling a fat DT to stop diving at his knees after the whistle

stupid-ass nfl lol

Who says he was pissed at purely Aiken or purely Galloway? It looked like a general b*tching to me, and we can't no for sure who it was aimed at.

Timing matters

Even though I'm a complete Brady rumpswab, I agree.

As a fan I got my chuckles out of watching and re-watching Brady's total meltdown. Not his finest moment as a leader. Newsflash, he's not the perfect QB nor the perfect human being. I bet he knows he was out of control and is not proud of himself. BB walked away knowing that Tommy Boy needed to get himself under control, and that he would.

I'm sure TB is frustrated...out of real football for 18 months, out of sync in his early games, bozos making mental errors with serious game consequences, and off the mark on several passes. He'll get over it as the season continues and the offense gets its collective head out of its posterior. BB's risky go for it on 4th was another leader's attempt to get the underachieving O in gear.

Its pretty sad. I dont question your loyalty as a fan. It's obvious you love this team. You're only doing it because you want to argue every single point someone tries to make. Every single thread, every single topic. It's too damn funny man.

Re: Brady Angry At...............?

When a player gets aligator arms and plays like a coward, simply don't throw him the football. When a player misses a wide open route and costs the team a touchdown that is a mental error and is inexcusable. Brady's anger was clearly directed at Aiken.

It started with Galloway on the previous play and peaked with Aiken on the next play.

No idea why Aiken would stall on an in slant. The point of running an in slant is to create separation.
