Not to beat your head, here is hot from the press:
Bob George/BosSports.net: "Laurence Maroney is still showing the annoying penchant for juking too much behind the line of scrimmage."

The people you tried to put down are paid for their articles and opinions, and they are published on websites that actually generate revenue.

You tried to put everyone down; national pundits, football analysts... they are just making it up.. they are not seeing it right..they do not count. blah blah.. what are you? What made you so special and different?

You are a free loader. You've made over 1000 posts (make that over 10,000, wow!!) and it is full of rude garabage. You constantly call people ignorant and uneducated. You should be thankful that Ian has this free web site so you can waste life away typing non sense non stop. What you write has non value other than iritation and it is a big waste of everyone's time. People were trying to have a civilized dialog about BJGE. Unfortunately, you jumped in (with Dues) like two junk yard dogs and started attacking people and calling names.

It is pathetic to see social misfits and struggles of such stubborn little men.
So stop it.

Kevin Faulk is actually productive in the running game. how many times do I have to see the draw where he gets 5...10 yard chunks on a consistent basis.

he won't get 15-20 carries but it's enough to keep the defense honest.

I was thinking the same thing. Didn't we basically HAVE Faulk and BJGE for a few games last year? Faulk's deadly in those draw plays.

He did that already last year, and if memory serves me, he did pretty darn well........

The teams that he did well against, for all intents and purposes, didn't *have* starters. His two good games came against Buffalo (26/105, 1 TD) and Denver (13/65, 1 TD), both of which had atrocious run Ds. Denver, in fact, may have had the worst overall defense in the NFL. BJGE was an emergency starter who performed adequately for a couple of weeks until Jordan was healthy enough to play, at which point he didn't play another down for the rest of the season. I like the kid, and I'm grateful that he was able to fill in as well as he did, but anyone who's saying that he stepped in and made a name for himself is misremembering things to a pretty significant degree.

How did this thread turn into Maroney vs. BJGE?

Im my OP I suggested cutting ties with Morris. Not Maroney.

Kevin Faulk took a few years to earn reputation here. I remember in this forum (well the old forum) where some wanted him gone from the team. couldn't block and prone to fumble. But he stuck around as the last and next to last RB on the roster. So why is it a problem for that to be BJGE? We don't need any of the big 4 to be gone for him to stay.

I really see it as a non-issue. He'll stay and he'll get more reps and be more a part of the team as we move along. If nothing else his effectiveness vs salary means we can also be strong in other areas. Maroney is here till his contract is done because it will cost too much to replace him. BJGE will have to bide his time ... and he will ... I think Bill likes him .... I am sure of it. We are a passing team, Bill won't devote huge resources to injury prone RB's anymore ... even through the draft.

Hahaha, you need to scan back a few pages in this thread! It took on a life of it's own. Lots of storyline and drama here, dude...

Stained entertainment centers, Lloyd and Harry and Floyd (or something like that), Nurses, James Sanders mom was here telling people off, more statistics than an underwriters meeting. And it was all FREE!!!

But, on topic; I like this BJGE kid. Plows straight ahead with a purpose and looks like the dogs of hell are chasing him. I can't say I want to give up Morris for him, I like Morris too.

Here is the rub though. Maroney is going nowhere this year, period. Faulk stays. We just signed Taylor (who I am not convinced isn't a Morris replacement), so he stays too. I have not SEEN enough of Morris yet to know which way to go with him.

Magic 8 ball says Morris to the PUP.

Is Morris eligible for PUP?

I don't think so. But even if he were, PUP would essentially be a death sentence for his career at this stage. He's 69 years old.

Thats right. I think (probably wrong) you have to be on active PUP before you can go reserve PUP.

If I had to guess I would wager that the staff is not done evaluating this situation yet. May need game 4 to tip the scales, or may even do something drastic like go into the season with 5 on the roster. Having a solid stable of RB's could do wonders for clock management and odds are one of them will go down by week 5-7.

I personally thought Dillon had another good year in him and was surprised when he went....so who knows what lurks in the evil mind of BB. Hell, still have not made a choice here.

I would cut Morris for BJGE because of youth and take the gamble. BJGE will never be a premier back, but then again never will Morris. Roll the dice.

Maroney is the whipping boy for daring to have been picked in the first round. If someone talks about Brady spilling a cup of coffee, the thread will eventually end up being a rant against Maroney, and some crack about Watson will probably show up too.

Chad Jackson better not show either

BJGE may be the best 5th-string RB in the league.

High praise indeed. It's like being the tallest midget.

cmon he's more like a bowling ball

I thought that was Lamont. :D

I like BJGE. He's scrappy and does all he can do. But IMO, that "all" is less than any other RB on the team. If BB keeps 5 RBs, I'll be happy for the BJGE.

That's alot of initials!

Kevin Faulk: 33
Fred Taylor: 33
.
Sammy Morris: 32
.

.
.
BJGE: 24
Maroney: 24

The above ages to me indicate that Belichick will keep 5 RB's as insurance, and for the future. Why should we waste a high draft pick on a RB in 2010, or 2011 when we can keep a very young RB with great potential that could play in 1 or 2 years?

This is 12 pages of wasted band space....most of which I stopped reading a while ago. Why? Because..."we hold these truths to be SELF EVIDENT that".....the Pats' greatest offensive strength is their PASSING game. AND on a team where roster spots are at a minimum, and the defense was the team WEAKNESS last season, you CANNOT afford to carry 5 RBs. It's JUST that simple.

Next to WRs, RB is perhaps the easiest position in the game to replace (maybe easier). The FACT is that there will be a half dozen guys cut in 2 weeks who are just as good as BJGE, and all talented enough to play in this league. It might not be fair, but BJGE is going to get cut because there are only 4 RB slots and there are 4 guys ahead of him. His only chance is if Morris' injury is bad enough to put him on IR or keep him out long enough to justify cutting him.

That's it. Stop it. Lets get back to what we really do best. Justifiably complaining about the media :D

I'd like to see them cut Maroney-head before BJGE. At least he runs hard and doesn't dance and then fall down for a 2 yard loss.

Granted he plays against 2s and 3s, but he shows some talent out there. He hits the hole, and he runs hard. I hope he makes the team.

That is just inaccurate and short sighted, the daily double. Thank God, you aren't making the decisions in Foxboro

So stop it.

You can't take the heat? then why did you start it in the first place?
The conversation was civil until you Spacecrime, DaBruinz, Dues started calling people names and throwing insults; three of you have a long rap sheet of calling people names and throwing insults. People are tired of your acts.

The board would be a much better place if you pathetic hacks just packed up to moved to a mole hole and never show up again.
