Maroney in the backfield:

Sorry couldn't resist bumping with this.

Have a good weekend everyone.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Please list the quarterbacks in the last 10 years who have suffered torn ACLs and not returned to form. I mention the last 10 years because of the advances that have been made in ACL and MCL repairs.

Daunte Culpepper.

Please list the Quarterbacks who have thrown 45+ TDs in a season and then did not decline.

Whether or not Brady's knee is a problem, hes not going to be the guy he was in 2007.

Interesting point.

I would say that new TE we signed.
Watson and Thomas are already beyond redemtion.
I think all that those 2 can prove is that they were not wise draft choices.

OK, Please list the quarterbacks with enough grey matter not to rehab in a parking lot on their own in the last 10 years who have suffered torn ACLs and not returned to form. I mention the grey matter because without it success is at best limited to flash in the pan.

BTW Manning's TD #'s may have declined but that was partially a result of Dungy altering the philosophy - his performance overall and that of his team certainly didn't. They finally won a Superbowl two years after he threw 49. I think Brady and this fan base would be happy with that kind of decline...

Im gonna have to say Koppen, seen him get pushed around like a rag doll at times versus the better nose tackles in the game. J williams, K jenkins..

Read the thread wrong koppens not in a must prove year he's a really good center I would like to see him play better against those nt's though..

I like Koppen and think he has played well for the most part but he was man handled by larger NTs in 2008. I do think this is a position we should consider upgrading if Alex Mack is available.

Of Maroney,Watson and Thomas, all have shown to have great ability on occasion, time to put it together and play well most of the time, rather than show us flashes.Polish up their game to remove or as least reduce the flaws.Thats what I would like to see.

Watson, with Brady back, will be a different player this year. Mark my words;);

I think there are plenty other positions to upgrade before DK.

Maroney for sure and then thomas.

I do not see watson in the list as went 3 or 4 WR so his role is that of a blocker in run blocking and he did an exceptional job as proved by our running plays. especially when we pull a gaurd he took on DE consistently.I think the days of receiving TE in a 3/4WR is not their as we use wes welker in the slot/TE routes. i will bet that wes plays the receiving TE role and not watson.

Dan koppen got manhandled but that was because when playing 3-4 the gaurd is suppose to help him a bit but with neal out our gaurd play was a weakness.

Culpepper and Brady are two very different QB's.

They both had Moss in common but Culpepper lost his Moss after his surgery and TB has not.

Who were Minny receivers the year Culpepper came back?? Who are TB receivers next season??

Two very different situation IMO

Baker is the new guy on a 5-year contract.

Obviously if Watson and Thomas are beyond redemption, at least one should be cut ro traded for a 2010 pick. We have DeVree and Listorti who can compete with a rookie for the remaining roster spot.

Hmmmm..... reading these posts, only one thing really comes to mind:

Matt Cassel sucks and they need to cut him before training camp even ends!

Couldn't agree more, Deus. That scrub has been riding the pine for 7 years. That should tell us something!

And in that vein, if our CBs can't cut it, I hear there's a promising FA named Deltha O'Neal. Scouting reports say this kid has more potential than Ty Law.

Who in here can guarantee Moss will be a force in 2009 - Even with Brady back

IMO Moss gets about 14 TDs this season if healthy - I think we see Welker possibly getting more than Moss this season in terms of TDs about 16 TDs, but the big difference to me will be that we should see many more rushing TDs this season with a much improved running game than 2007 had.

I would put Brady if healthy at about 34 to 38 passing TDs in 2009

See, I see 34-38 as the high water mark for him. I see him back down around 30-32. Prior to 2007, his peak was 28Td 14Int. I see 30 TD 10 Int as what we should be looking at.

Manning had that freak 49 TD year, but other than that, hes had one at 33, and two at 31. Manning has been a pretty solid 31TD 12 Int guy since that year, I expect Brady to be similar.

That 50Td year was nothing but a perfect storm freak occurrance.

I will go with 29 TDs and 16 INTs for the Brady man this year

As long as Brady avoids IR he should near 30 TDs but not much more IMO

I say 16 INTs on the season is going to be about right but I say 10 of those 16 INTs will be during his 'dust off the rust' weeks which will occur between week 1 and week 6 - Look for an average of almost 2 INTs per game until mid season when he is totally back and ready to plow towards the playoffs, then I say 10 games with only 6 INTs the rest of the way.

I was just thinking the same thing.

All the Ellis Hobbs hate blows me away... reminds me of all the Asante Samuel hate the offseason when we lost Ty Law. By all accounts, Asante was a nickleback playing out of position and we were doomed without Law.

Leave it alone, guys. Hobbs is a quality starter and a versatile contributor, on D and ST.

I gotta go with Seymour and AD.

For their hype and money, they aren't performing at the level they shoudl be IMO.
