Harrison on the defensive meltdown

Re: Harrison on the defensive meltdown.

Team founded in 1959, played first game ....
9/9/60 VS Bronco's at BU Field (yes, I was there, I started really young).

When you try to get to my 400, don't forget to add in pre-season & playoff games.

The point to all of this is supporting a team through thick and thin and realizing if a leader of the 'D' says something that speaks to the discontent on the fair weather or bandwagon fans...he just might be right.

Refute this ....haters:

"“We all have an opportunity to play better,” Harrison said. “Whether you missed a tackle, whether you missed a coverage, something mental – the mental aspect of the game – we all can play better. Obviously, in a loss like that it’s disappointing, so it’s easy to sit back from a media standpoint or even a team standpoint and try to point fingers. We’re sticking together.

“We’ve been through times before. There’s a lot of football left. From week to week, people jump on and off the bandwagon, but it’s what the 53 guys in this locker room think.

bla bla bla :horn:

Lets see them do their talking on the field.

You people that think you are better fans because some of us happen to see the warts make me laugh. The Patriots are not perfect. No team is.

I don't think I am perfect. Usually, at a Patriot fan site, on the main page, fans tend to come here somewhat positive even in the face of trouble, guys like you seem to revel in the negative. But thats OK too, just be sure to eat your words when you are proved wrong.

I am not blind either, but I do think this team has a shot to make the playoffs and I plan to enjoy the chase.

Your exactly right, NO team is perfect, so why can;t we get to the dance and when there, who knows. There is NO WAY at this point in the season anybody can say where this team is going to end up.

The wart I see are the supportive fans such as yourself.

Ok I will try and be a fan like you for awhile.

The Patriots defense looks great.

The Patriots offense looks great.

The Patriots special teams looks great.

The Patriots coaching is doing great.

So this is what it feels like :)

Actually Sully got the franchise in '59. They were not named untill 1960 when a contest selected the name "Patriots".

Re: Harrison on the defensive meltdown.

I am not jumping off the Bandwagon Rodney. I am with you the whole way.

As am I Rodney - and I'm not going to insult you by acting like the Defense is playing well when it plays badly.

Re: Harrison on the defensive meltdown.

I noticed you coose to freeload in here as well......in case you haven't read it, if a few more hundred members don't step up, then there wont be patsfans.com, BERT. Or did you think the VIP designation is because we think we're important.

Are you high?

You must be loaded because that entire post makes ZERO sense. Luckily, that's what we've come to expect from you. I "coose" to remain here to talk football, even if it means having to talk about the good and bad attributes of my favorite team. If you don't like it, don your rose colored glasses and maybe it'll LOOK like I'm only talking about the good stuff.

Rah rah sis boom bah. Go team!

We have a fund drive going on and the group needs help. You can talk good and you can talk bad - but none of will be talking if guys like you don;t pony up - got it??

You realize us discussing the Pats had no effect on the game whatsoever, right?

This isn't just directed at you, a lot of you guys that get downright offended at criticisms towards the team seem to not understand this. If someone says "x about the game sucked" and it goes well the next game that doesn't mean that the person was wrong or something.

You mean my not shaving for the week leading up to the game and eating horse meat all week had no effect on the outcome?? Dayam...

I have no problem with constructive criticism and discussion and of course we can discuss the ups and downs of our favorite team. It's just that certain posters go way too far and attack the team, coach, the players and then they go after the Patsfan members that do not agree with them etc etc.

It's pretty easy to spot these clowns or trolls, they tend to disappear when things go well for the player they were targeting.

Haha I said our discussion. Stuff like that is probably exactly why we won :D

Rodney and the 53 walked the walk Monday. Good way to go out.

Yeah, I hope they print those words and post them in the locker room. What a difference from game to the next.

Sad to hear the Broncos suffered two big injuries. You never want to see guys go down and they were plenty sucky WITH those guys on the field.
