I think he needs an OL and a FREAKIN'#1 WR... Moss is a shell of the player from 12 games last season - and that was what it was...12 games. Given time Cassel can make the throws, just seems lately the captain can't catch a cold...

Moss missed 3 passes he should have caught. The first two he missed changed the course of the game. But let's all blame Cassel.....
The problem is we including myself are all spoiled. 16-0 last yr. The defense maybe was this bad last yr. Thomas, Bruschi, Vrabel all look old and tired out there. It's time to add speed to the LB and Secondary.

And which 2 are these? The one where he made the catch and the defender made a great play to knock it loose? or the one up the sideline where it was underthrown and he had to slow down thus giving the defender time to catch up and get a hand in?
just curious were those the 2 you speak of?
Hey Mo i guess that little ditch pass to moss there Moss was magically supposed to turn that into a 30 yard gain right? i bet your pissed he went down and didnt get nailed by the LB ya know cus Cassel just left him completely out to dry there.
Yes, those two. They were both balls that Moss should have come down with.
I don't think there are too many people on this board who think Cassel is going to be a great NFL QB. But we're only trying to get through the next 11 games here and somehow sneak into the playoffs.
Cassel at least is familiar with the offense and certainly has the arm, size, and speed to be decent. What he doesn't have is pocket pressence and he doesn't yet seem to be on the same page as his receivers.
The hope is that a little more time seeing game action will address those problems.
I think so long as the Pats are at .500 or above that Cassel will be the QB. The only way O'Connell sees significant time is if the season really goes in the tank and the playoffs look impossible.
What about the ball where moss beat coverage he didn't try for it. he could have dived for it.
Well in that case if Cassel had thrown it properly and didnt force moss to slow his route and let the defender back in the play and he missed it i could understand your point but that one is soley on cassel in my books. The other one he had the catch it should have been ruled a fumble and patriots ball where it went outta bounds. the replay clearly showed he had control again u can fault him for a fumble but not dropping the ball...
