Seahawks also took a hit yesterday.

NATE BURLESON OUT FOR SEASON
Posted by Michael David Smith on September 8, 2008, 5:42 p.m. EDT

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Nate Burleson is out for the season with a knee injury, ESPN is reporting.

Burleson suffered the injury in the third quarter of yesterday’s game at Buffalo, but he said afterward that he didn’t think it was serious. An MRI today revealed that it was.

Losing Burleson is huge for the Seahawks, who were already thin at receiver and had to play without Deion Branch and Bobby Engram on Sunday.

Last season Burleson started 12 games and caught 50 passes for 694 yards. Burleson was also the team’s top punt returner.

wow how will they ever recover?

Burleson is the heart and soul of that team.

When i hear "Seahawks" i think "Burleson"

Why the happy faces?

The Seachickens are paper thin at wideout right now. Branch and Engram won't be ready next week, so who the hell is Hasselbeck going to throw to?
