2017 Patriots Season:

NFL Week 11 looks like it will have plenty of close games. There are no double-digit favorites, and only one game with a spread of more than seven. Home teams are favored in only half of the 14 scheduled games, and nine games have odds of 3½ or fewer points.

Denver’s defense, if it has a weakness is defending the tight ends. Of course, they know the Patriots are short-handed at WR and will try to matchup

Bennett and Rob Gronkowski would automatically give the team a dynamic 1-2 punch in two tight end sets which would ease the burden of the wide receivers

But Denver’s offense has scored just 52 points during the current four-game losing streak. And 14 of those points came in garbage time

LB Shea McClellin, who had been on IR since the end of preseason, had suffered a setback in his return and now he too will be likely lost for the season.

James White is head of the class. He leads the team with 43 receptions and ranks 2nd in the NFL in receptions by a running back.

But as the Patriots well know, this is a calculated gamble. This wasn’t the arrogance that they can easily find another franchise QB.

The good news is that Shea McClellin is able to come back after the bye week and is better in coverage and that will help things along those lines

Look for the Patriots to run right at them behind Shaq Mason on the right side. Controlling the tempo and keeping the pass rush of the Bolts at bay is key
