WSJ: Tom Brady Is the MVP of Moving the Line
i know you're not supposed to copy and paste a whole article, but this was so short i don't even know if i would call it an article. if anyone objects i'll remove a paragraph or two.

In the wake of the New England Patriots’ 23-21 upset win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, some people have asked just how much suspended quarterback Tom Brady is worth to the team. The answer, according to oddsmakers: six points.
Brady would move the betting lines for New England games by a touchdown, said Bovada sportsbook manager Kevin Bradley. Among players who may also miss Week 2, that’s only matched by Seattle’s Russell Wilson (ankle.) Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (back), meanwhile, is valued at just three.
At 2.5 points, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) is the most valuable skill position player currently nursing an injury. That outstrips Bills receiver Sammy Watkins (foot), who is worth 1.5 points and the Chargers’ Keenan Allen, who was lost for the season with a knee injury, valued at just one.
Then there’s Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III, who was lost to a shoulder injury. Bradley estimates his absence to be worth exactly nothing.
