Manningham is the very definition of mediocre.

Not to mention the fact that he's as dumb as a brick. I'd have to think there's a very close to zero percent chance the Patriots would be interested.

I agree. Perhaps his hitting free agency will be beneficial to the Pats though. If other teams are looking at Manningham, they are looking that much less at other receivers. And once some other team signs him, that means there will be one less team competing for the other wide receiver(s) that the Pats do want, that could help the Pats.
