Would you draft Dwayne Jarrett?

Anyone I would draft in a heartbeat at 28, I'd probably take at 24 also.

I would take him in a heartbeat at#28, not so sure about #24. I could care less what his 40 time and cone times were, I've seen him play football, and he's quite good at that. Oh, and to compare Bethel Johnson to Dwayne Jarrett is a joke, Bethel couldn't carry Dwayne's jock, in college and I bet as a pro as well. Dwayne Jarrett will be a helluva NFL player, mark my words.

Jarrett might be an Anquan Boldin type. Not impressive 40 times but has the talent to get it done at the next level. I haven't been following the hype much on this jarrett kid but weren't there questions about his attitude and work ethic?

Boldin's character, leadership and intelligence were impeccable. Dwayne Jarrett is no Anquan Boldin. Be afraid; be very afraid.

So tell me why ESPN keeps telling us that he is NOT Mike Williams. This is like deja-vu all over again. Mike Williams was supposed to be this stud top 15 pick. Then ran like an idiot and was out of shape, but thank god for the Lions to snag him.

Good work ESPN...

Huh, I'm curious which report is more accurate! Here's one I read:

http://www.dailybreeze.com/sports/articles/6764032.html
"Jarrett's pass-catching workout wasn't smooth, either. His cuts weren't nearly as sharp as Smith, and he slipped and fell on one. A scout for an AFC team described Jarrett, who is 6-foot-5 and 214 pounds, as stiff."

That's the one GBN carried....

7:00 PM): More news from SoCal… Dwayne Jarrett's rather pedestrian 40 times (4.64, 4.65) at his Pro Day workout yesterday have some people putting a second-round grade on the USC wideout. Those times were much slower than the 4.4 that fellow WR Steve Smith turned in at the Combine and slower even than LB Dallas Sartz's 4.58 and DL Travis Tofi's 4.57 yesterday. Jarrett's pass-catching workout wasn't smooth, either. His cuts weren't nearly as sharp as Smith at least one scout said Jarrett looked stiff. So Jarrett's final draft grade is going to be hard to slot. His production and numbers are impressive and he certainly is a great target but those speed numbers and less-than-impressive workout after foregoing the Combine is sure to raise red flags.
