Well it's almost do or die time. Do you think Faulk will be be suited up Sunday?

even though he's off the PUP, I dont think he's been signed to the team yet..I would say no..

well use Woodhead as the 3rd down passing back...and hopefully he's healed over this bye week and can get back to last years form that put up 1000yards from scrimmage

Won't he have to be put on the IR then?

The team has 2 more weeks to decide what they want to do with Kevin

I believe this is his last season so no chance they leave him off the roster.

No, this is just the first time that the team can do something with the players that were on PUP if they so desire; the deadline to do something is still a ways away.

A player who begins the regular season on the PUP list must sit out his team’s first six games. After that point, a team has three weeks to start having the player practice; once the player begins practicing, the team has another three weeks to put the player on the active roster.

If the player is not activated by that time, or if he does not begin practicing within that three week window, he must remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.

You can't be on PUP unless you are signed to a team... They signed him July 30th. He has two more weeks in which to practice before they have to either activate him, IR him or cut him (his 2011 salary ($910K) is guaranteed since he was on the roster via PUP in week 1).

I believe BOB said they would wait until the last possible minute to decide whether to activate him this week.

they have 3 weeks from when they come off the PUP for the team to make a decision on what to do with them

Thanks everyone! I think his picture should be in the dictionary where you look up "New England Patriot" I sure hope he makes it.

I think he will. Otherwise they would have waited until after week 8 to even practice him. They took him right off PUP on the first day they could, so that would seem to indicate they think he's a go and they want him active.

The team apparently loves to use Faulk out of the backfield catching passes against the Steelers at Pitt

In 2 games at Pittsburgh,Kevin has been virtually invisible in the running game but has 2 70 yard receiving games

Just what the Steelers need, another receiver to defend with this one out of the backfield.

I want to see the Steelers try and stop NE on 3rd and long with Faulk on a short out,Welker and Branch lined up outside with Hernandez and Gronkowski in the middle.

How the hell do you keep NE from converting unless you get to Brady within 2 seconds after the snap?

Hope he plays. First we Gronk them, then we Faulk em good and hard.

I'd love to see Cannon some time this season.

Ditto here...Problem is Pats currently have a pretty good stable of OL.

If one gets hurt in the Pitt or NYG game, I have a feeling it will be Cannon time.

With Deaderick and Brace also coming off PUP with Faulk, the roster will have to be shaken up a bit.

I can see Vereeen being stashed on IR to open up a slot for Faulk.

Any thoughts on who's spot Brace and Deaderick take? Not sure if Deaderick is eligible for PS or if he'd even slide by waivers without being grabbed by someone.

It was nice to see him and Light and Brady together chatting about the past and present.

I think ownership was the big thing I took from Kevin re: that segment. There is a sense of ownership and pride in building our recent foundation. Kevin jumped on that question right away.

I'd love to see him back. I think he would be a solid contributor. He is dependable and will be until proven otherwise.

I would like to see him back. Class guy, class person.

I saw that also. Can't get enough of that old guard pride and leadership in the locker room for the newer guys. people like Kevin bring that. We have to carry that dedication, respect and work ethic going forward. As you said, class guy.
