Why Pats better spend to the cap..

Aside from the whole Brady getting older, team on the verge thing... The Pats chose to accept the additional cap space from Dallas/ Wash for this year as opposed to next year. By not spending to the cap this year would simply be throwing money away. They must have bigger plans

FALSE. It would help if you knew what you were talking about. Any money not spent can be carried over to next year. Just like it was last year to this year.

Also, they didn't have a choice. The league took the money from Dallas and Washington and divied it up to the league for this year. Dallas and Washington had the choice in how they divied it up their penalties between this year and next year.

I thought there was a min. of what teams could spend and it was like 98% of the cap? Anyways you gotta leave a few mill to sign players to replace injured guys. Just relax, 1.6 Mill isn't anything to get worked up about in March.

The cap floor does not come into play until the 2013 season.

They need to spend at least 16 mill to make keeping that 1.8 worth it. Not hard to understand. Look at history- the years pats were active in FA they went to SB, years they were not they fell shorr.

Listen, you clearly don't know enough about the situation. Do yourself a favor and stop your whining. Sit back. Relax. Maybe go out and learn a bit about the new salary cap rules. Then you can b!tch and moan all you want and at least know what you are talking about.
