Where was Doug Gabriel last Night?

I apologize if this has been covered in another thread but I've not heard anything about why Gabriel did not come into the game unti some point in the 3rd quarter?
Am I incorrect in this?
I was screamimng at the tv last night in the second quarter asking "why is he not in the game".
Some one please enlighten me.

Because while he dressed and was active he is apparently battling the dreaded lingering hammie injury and they would have apparently liked to not have used him at all.

Brady said he appreciated Doug playing hurt in his post game PC. And Jerry Rice mentioned in his article on Gabriel this week that he will be a great addition for this team IF HE CAN GET HEALTHY.
