WEEI 850 sucks

They lost the contract to broadcast the Sox games. I'm not sure if the new station takes over this April or next; but without the Sox on their air, EEI may shift away from promoting them a little.

That's not entirely accurate... Entercom did not lose the contract for Red Sox games. They renewed their contract but decided they would shift the Red Sox to WEEI's sister station, WRKO 680. So since WEEI and WRKO are the same family, you'll probably see just as much Red Sox promotion on WEEI as there ever was.
