i was actually an oilers fan (my hometown) till '67, but i must say the story of clive rush's announcement in '60 as patriots head coach. is i think, the funniest sports stories i've ever heard.
you can probably google to it at "clive rush" and "patriots". if that dooesn't work add 'electrocuted". yes that's right.

I thought Clive Rush came on board in '69? Could be wrong, tho. Maybe I'm thinking of Phil Bengston. His (Rush's) introduction to the New England press certainly was electrifying.

Those were very sorry years, yet the Pats were still my team - every day, every week, every year. I used to catch some real flack from my friends about that.

Truth to tell, I haven't seen a lot of those guys in years. I guess that's the nature of this beast!
