May 12 is the first date on which free-agent signings don’t count toward the determination of compensatory draft picks.

Bill loves his compensatory draft picks, for good reason.

Released players can be signed any time with no pick compensation, but players who simply played out their last contract are much more appealing to sign, come Thursday.

Florio's article: May 12 could dust off free-agent market

The only player the Patriots are likely to pursue is Arian Foster, he wouldn't count anyways, and he's probably not going to sign until right before camp.

I won't lie, I would love them to sign my old draft binkie Greg Hardy. They got rid of one talented headache before so they have room for another one now.

Sign me up for Foster and Boldin on the cheap. See what they have left.

I see absolutely no point in signing a WR, TE, QB. IOL & Safety.

I would be mildly interested in siging a CB, LB or DT to battle for depth spots

I would be like to see them bring in an RB and particularly an OT.

If I could only sign 1 FA it would be a good swing OT and let Cannon who has not been up to the job walk.

I would look at Will Beatty & Jake Long I guess.

No...that's where I draw the line. We've had guys like Talib who werent model citizens but they werent a POS. I don't want to root for a POS.

Jake Long - I'd love it! Mostly because Chris could start pretending they're brothers again...

Seriously, though, does he have anything left?

i view him as i view Michael Vick: either wear a Patriots jersey and I have to find another team. Despicable human being.

If he had much left he would not be available. Both of these guys are talented but injury risk and injuries have hurt their overall ability. I would never ever ever tell you Jake Long can start in this league. However can he find it within him to spot start in an important game after being rested? Maybe. More than I can say for Cannon for whom the answer is "no".

He's a complete piece of sh.t. He has no place in professional sports. I hope he never plays again.

The sick part about the Gregg Hardy Situation is..he truley believes he's innocent. If he came out and admitted he had a problem and was apologetic it would at least make him look somewhat human.

The guy maintains he did nothing wrong...those are the most dangerous kind.

There's a difference between headache and deplorable human being.

Although one is more likely to be the other, than the other way around.

Oh **** no

Unfortunately the only way Boldin comes here is if there are injuries at WR. Big ones...

I don't think Foster is healthy. Torn Achilles for a RB w/ leg issues before that is not a good thing.

Honestly if Greg Hardy joins this team I can not root for them to win a super bowl.

I would rather this team lose without Greg Hardy than win with him. And if Greg Hardy was on this team I could not bring myself to root for him to win a championship so i could not root for the Patriots to do so either.

Too much of a scum bag.

It is a moot point cause BB will never sign him anyway.
