Belichick is already the best. Paul Brown is the only one in his class. Sorry, fellas.

"among" the best ever. LOL.

Yes, among. Learn your NFL history before being so arrogant.

Did you forget that BB had a won/loss record of 41-55 for his first six seasons? And it wasn't until midway through his 9th season that his overall record was actually over .500 as a coach.

Vince Lombardi has 5 NFL championships and a winning percentage of .738 and was never under .500 in any season.

Don't forget great coaches like George Halas (.682 winning percentage over 40 years!) and Curly Lambeau and who both also won 6 NFL championships.

Is it harder or easier to coach now or forty to eighty years ago? Are there fewer or more teams now versus (then)? With fewer teams what are the odds that you might win more or less?

Just some things to ruminate about as you throw out names of coaches that you NEVER saw coach.

I can appreciate some of your points, but the one about BB's first six season is not relevant IMO. It hardly matters how poorly he did in his first six seasons, except that it effects his overall win/loss record. It is the final win/loss record that matters, along with number of championships won. Throw in NFL historical records like the longest winning streaks ever and be the only team to ever go undefeated in a 16 game regular season.
