the only difference here is that Curran probably enjoyed the comment and didn't take it personally, unlike most of the rest of the mediots who would have taken it as a personal affront. For the most part I like Curran.

Chad is sure to tone it down a bit here. Although there's been mutual admiration between Johnson and Belichick for a long time, I think Johnson has always known his Bengals antics would not have flown in New England under Belichick and it seems clear Chad read between the lines of his initial conversations with BB too.

That being said, a little bit of personality isn't a bad thing, and I'd expect the Patriots hope he'll sell a few 85 jerseys along the way (another benefit of a multi-year deal).

At the very least I'm sure they'll sell more than Haynesworth's jerseys!

Ever since Curran's hatchet-job on Brady in the 2009 offseason, I haven't been his hugest fan, but you speak the truth. His twitter is one of the few that I actively follow, because he can actually be pretty funny.
