Excellent read.

I like how many of the points he make focus on the - for lack of a better word - "no-name" players who stepped up: Sauerbrun, Hobbs, the Hawk, Sanders, Spann, Thomas, Brown's defensive awareness, Mankins blocks on the 2-pointer ...

There is a reason the Pats always take the field as a TEAM!

I remember hearing BB tell the story (recently) of how all that started back in 01. They were playing in phili and phili fans were so brutal that instead of letting one player get introduced and then heckled, they decided to come out as a team at once and get it over with.........and it turned into a whole lot more than that

Funny story, later in the interview (weekly "coffee with the coach" on WEEI's "Big Show") BB was talking about his early days with the Giants (82 i think) where Parcells was trying to talk to BB while he was up in the booth and parcells kept wondering why BB wasn't focussing on the game. BB just said "you gotta see this bill"...there was a 4000 person mass riot. To make it funny, it wasn't philly fans against someone else, but phily on phily. He went on to say it got so bad they tossed a guy out of the upper deck. BB said it was always an experience to play phili.
