Man I can't wait to see that new building they got themselves going up in Arlington, TX. They are going to have a 60 yard long HD scoreboard hanging down over the field of play. That is not a typo folks - 60 YARDS LONG. It will stretch from one 20 yard line to the other 20 yard line.

Oh my.

Haha I love this cuz the Colts lost.

**** the Colts.

The standards for NFL stadiums are getting absolutely ridiculous. The new one in Arizona is supposedly amazing (too bad the same can't be said for the team that plays in it.)

I know that Seahawks stadium is really cool as I have attended a game there.

Wow, so much for NaPolian getting a home game in the superbowl (not like their getting there anyway, but it would have been cool for us to raise the Lombardi on their home field )

Oh my indeed. Check out the description from the official website:

"So the fans sitting in the upper decks will have what amounts to a larger-than life game being played directly in front of them if they choose not to look down at the field, giving them an unprecedented benefit up top."

Ah, an exciting new benefit of attending live football games is that you no longer have to look down at the field -- it's almost as good as being home in your livingroom! Unbelievable.

whos paying for it? the owner or the taxpayers?

Gotta give it to them, looks like one hell of a stadium though I could see the board being almost too much of a good thing and always distracting the eye for those in the upper sections.

From DMN:
-The city's share of the cost is capped at $325 million – an amount that was originally expected to be half the stadium's cost.
-The new $1 billion stadium, the largest and most expensive in the NFL

For comparison Gillette was built for the amount the city is willing to fork over in Dallas.

"Cost of construction for the New England Patriots' new home was $325 million dollars, the most expensive privately funded stadium in history."

Well they always say they do things bigger and better in Texas...if they get that sucker built in time maybe we can add to that list "Host New England Patriot Superbowls".

Beautiful building!

Click on the interior-that deck is awesome. I wouldn't trade the snow at Gillette for anything but that's an incredible stadium, bar none.

That stadium is GROSS! Waaaaay too over the top for me. I can't help but think that 3-D video screen hanging over the field will be a big distraction. The whole monstrosity looks like something from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." Geez, before we know it Gillette will be considered "old school."

I guess the real issue is, will Tom retire after the Dallas superbowl, or come back to try to make it five straight?

Yeah, and the deal only costs 1 Billion $, U.S.-type. No typo: $1 billion U.S.

They're gonna charge $900 per ticket to SB 45. With a seating capacity of about 90,000, that comes out to about $100 million for one game. (!!!) That's face value. On the street? Market prices. Better not get stuck with a couple of 9-7 teams that squeak in.

Jerry Jones will have to mortgage his cattle ranches big time.

Ambiance. You just don't get the same ambiance at home as you do sitting with 90,000 other critters. And think of the fun you can have driving to and from, parking, walking in/out, and so forth. Just not the same.

that is pricey $900 face value for SB tix. I bet it would be awesome for concerts though with that jumbotron for upperdecks to see
