Sox definately needed a lefty bat off the bench, plus he can play first, third and the outfield - this could be a good move. He is signed though next year, so this could signal the end for Trot.
Still, unless he can picth, it doesn't change the fact that Jason Johnson is starting the biggest series of the season so far.
