As everyone says, it sucks. But my feeling w/injuries has gotten to the point where you know the God of Injuries needs to be appeased, so I just cross my fingers and hope it's not an essential guy (or three) who goes down.

Fletcher's nice depth, but not essential at this point. So hopefully our offering will be accepted...

lol let's hope so!

Rob0725 called this last night, much to the chagrin of another poster.

This sucks for Fletcher, but it almost guarantees that Carpenter will have a spot on the Pats at the end of camp.

I NEVER liked 4 preseason games,I always thought 2 or 3 max were enough

That's fair, and I can't say I completely disagree with that. I just don't like things like this being used as evidence for it. You could easily say that without an extra two games of preparation to ease into the regular season, you'll see more injuries in weeks 1 and 2. It's a fuzzy area IMO.

I see it opening up more of a roster spot for Cunningham, Scott and Francis to make the roster. Ninkovich will be spending more time at SLB like he played last year. Hightower will be able to start at SLB and Ninkovich can back him up when he gets a rest or rotates over to sub for Mayo or Spikes. Then we are using Carpenter as 5th instead of 4th. I like Cunningham at LDE more then Ninkovich anyway. More of a physical presence and long term Bequette at 6'5 274lb has the size to be a great 4-3 end. I liked what both of them showed on Thurs too.
