Randy Moss still longing for the Patriots

I don't want Randy back for the simple reason that I don't think he's that good any more. He wasn't getting open that much at the end of the 2009 season, was nothing in the game against the Ravens, did not all that much for the Pats in 2010 when he was on the field and was terrible for the Vikes and Titans.

If Randy could still be the Randy we saw in 2007 and 2008, and for much of 2009, sure bring him in. But he looks sort of cooked to me.

That he's a whiny beeeeetch and a distraction at times doesn't help, either.

Felger is obnoxious and often wrong, but he's right about Randy. Not for all the right reasons, but he's right about his conclusion.

Last: I can't see BB doing this. It would be a partial admission that dumping Randy was a mistake and I don't see Bill going there.

Bringing him back would allow us to draft a low risk high reward development WR later in the draft.

Personally, I believe we already have two of those on the roster already. If only the 'offseason' could begin, so that Brady could work with both of them.
Either way, I dont want Moss back.

Someone asked Shalise about a Moss return in her weekly chat. She said (without revealing her source) that she was informed at the Combine that it wasn't going to happen. She said that the newly officially appointed OC and the QB both gave a thumbs up to the Moss trade, which was a rational assumption many here made at the time. There were certainly underlying reasons for that that all who remotely read between the lines rather than stick their heads in the sand can fathom. Brady has enough to worry about without having to be the day to day custodian of Randy's fragile psyche.

Been there done that.

The Randy Moss experiment was good for a year or two.

Of course, we bring him back just like we invited Tory Holt to try to play another year. If he want so to try I think he is the ideal long ball WR they say they need.

It leaves yet another draft pick to use on Defense or the Offensive line.

If the money is cheap, why not? If he has lost two steps, cut him. BFD. If he is the last player cut, no loss.

If we can trade him again for another third... ... to the Jets.
