Jetslifer continuing to pose as a Patriot fan...

WHY???????????????????

Tell me why Seymour and Bru should be in the pro bowl using stats and fact. I'm not a jets fan, I'm honest. Bru is not even close to a good NFL lb, nm a pro bowler at this time.

This is not a stat driven defense, so the stats do not mean much... not sure about Bruschi, but Seymour deserves it.. some people like to argue for the sake of argument, others read and learn... Seymour is having a pro bowl year.

i can believe philip rivers isn't in the running because the first results are fan voting

but the guy is statistically the best qb in the afc, and #2 in the entire nfl

just proves the pro bowl from the fans portion, is a farce

the players and coaches do a much fairer job

Seymour is having his best statistical season yet, on pace for 62.4 tackles and 9.6 sacks as a 3-4 defensive end. He's likely to get a spot because he has name value and strong stats and the reason he's in the running is because he's been extremely good this year.

It could be worse, it could be the NBA:
Do you remember when Kobe STARTED the ALL STAR GAME when he wasn't even a starter on his OWN team.

Of course, the NFL had their own version of that last year when Marion Barber made the team after not starting all season.

Fan voting is an even bigger joke than the OP even realized .... Redskins marketing department has the entire roster stocked with Skins ...

20 Redskins in Pro Bowl?

By JOSEPH WHITE, AP Sports Writer 2 hours, 47 minutes ago

ASHBURN, Va. (AP)—Randy Thomas stared in puzzled silence at the numbers for the longest time, then finally starting laughing. If the Pro Bowl voting were to end right now, the veteran right guard would be on his way to Hawaii—along with 19 of his Washington Redskins teammates.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Thomas said. “Wow.”

So far, it’s the Redskins in a burgundy state landslide. Fans have responded in droves to an aggressive get-out-the-vote campaign conducted by one of the most market-savvy teams in the NFL, putting virtually everyone in the lineup— even those who haven’t played much or have played well below Pro Bowl caliber— ahead of the pack in the NFC.

“It’s a surprise,” said Khary Campbell—that’s right, Khary Campbell— who has a lead of more than 2-to-1 over his nearest competitor in voting for special teams specialist. “But I’m happy to see our fans showing the overwhelming support they do have for us.”

They can have the marketing savvy, we'll take the field savvy any day

From the article:

"The Redskins’ campaign has been so effective that the NFL felt the need to raise the issue in an e-mail sent last week to the digital media departments of all 32 teams by George Scott, the league’s general manager, club sites, at NFL Digital Media.

“As it stands right now, the Redskins are leading the NFC ballots in 16 of 19 positions,” said the e-mail, a copy of which was provided to The Associated Press. “It’s no surprise, given that they have been promoting this all season long. … This would be a great weekend to promote Pro Bowl voting to your fans. Let me know if you need any ideas or support from the league (or the Redskins) in this important initiative.”

But some of the leads—including Sellers’—are so large they could be tough to surmount under the complex formula the NFL uses for apportioning votes. The situation is somewhat reminiscent of last season, when the ever-popular Dallas Cowboys sent 13 players to Hawaii."

I find Izzo at #2 for ST the most surprising.

bruschi definitely shouldnt be. moss, i guess you could make an argument, but i dont think he should make it

So last year we have eight and this year it looks like we are going to have none.

The Pro Bowl is a waste of time. Nobody watches it and the players only go because they get a bonus paycheck and a nice vacation in Hawaii. The NFL should get rid of it.

So the Redskins can never figure out how much to pay free agents - which continually puts them in problems with the salary cap - but they can figure out a way to stuff the ballot boxes - which will give additional bonuses to nearly every starter and do what to their salary cap next year?

The only pro bowl players this yr for the pats

wes welker
stephen ghostkowski
and maybee Seymour

Mayo having a nice season, not pro bowl worthy though..

But other than that the Pro bowl is a joke...
