This is the way i see it happening. The Laurence Maroney-Corey Dillion one two punch that crippled Cincy will happen again. Expect Maroney to have over 100 yards rushing and two TD's. Dillion will have over 70 yards, and a Td. The good running game will allow the play action to be more succesful, allowing deep plays down the field. Look for Reche to get revenge on his old team by having 10 catches for 90+ yards and a TD. The pats will hold onto the ball with no turn overs. Our LB's, and defense will have a big game also, with 4 sacks recorded. This is one of those games where the Pats will be doubted, like going into Cincy, and we will do nothing but dominate.

i hope it all happens but lets accept this...people maybe picking the chargers but a lot of people are giving pats a chance

and this is not the cincy D or defensive coordinator. chargers have a much better staff and set of players. All the scenarios observed about assume that that chargers have no defense at all which obviously is not the case

i love when the whole disrepect thing works for us but i have seen people giving us more than a shot with the whole BB/marty and brady/rivers angle played out. so lets accept that also..
just my 2 cents

No one is going to confuse San Diego's rush defense with that of the Bengals. For one thing, Cin-cin runs a 4-3, San Diego a run gobbling 3-4. Second, the Bengals are a bunch of clowns.

I don't think Brady will throw an interception, but there will be at least one fumble. Probably Brady on a strip-sack, he's lost the handle on a number of those this year.

Jabar will probably be the one to lead us in yardage, if we can finally connect on a fly, fade or seam route for once this season. I say this because the SD secondary will probably roll Reche's way and we've thrown downfield routes to Jabar almost as often as we've done with Chad recently. If we complete one or two of those suckers in the first half, that will go a long way to pulling coverage off of the short slant and out routes we figure to use as the bread and butter in the passing game.

Thanks for that link, was pretty much a split of opinions there. I think the two weeks off the Chargers had was a good thing favoring us. We are flying high on momentum right now, something we need going against a team like the Chargers. The pats will play like they had all year on the road, and play there best football. The Chargers D did give up there share of points, so if our defense plays like i think they are, we should win this one. Marty gets new last name after this game Marty Chokenhiemer

Brady got away lucky against the Jets, he should of been strip sacked in that game. I do agree the Bengals are a bunch of clowns.

Wasn't that Vilma who went for the five-finger discount going around Matt Light? I really hope we don't see any of that against the Chargers, but realilstically I expect Brady to get some unsolicited chiropratic work a couple times this game.

Here's wishing his sack-sensing ESP is fully functional this game.

Layden is a total jerk off.

What exactly are you basing this on? There are no similarities that I can think of between the Bengal's and Charger's defenses. If anything I think the closest thing we can expect is something like the Bear's game, but keep in mind that the passing offense has improved a lot since that game so there wont be so many turnovers if they play well. I'm concerned that it seems like most of the season the O line has been able to run block or pass block in a given game, not both. This wasn't the case last week and I hope the trend continues. If the Charger's defense has a weakness its the secondary, so I wouldn't be totally surprised if they come out and spread the field in the hurry up to attack them and try and tire that defense out a bit. No matter what happens I'm willing to bet it won't be like the Cincy game.

While I truly hope that this happens I find it highly doubtful. I find it highly doubtful simply because it is extrememly rare that a single receiver on the Pats gets 10 catches while multiple backs have big games. We distribute the ball. Reche, Brown, Jabar, Watson, Graham, Faulk, and maybe even Thomas will all be thrown to will some regularity. Plus the fact that if our running game is going full speed there will be less of a need (and opportunity) to throw the ball.

Chargers D is signficantly better than the Bengals. Pats will need a very solid contribution from the running game to win this game, but expecting Maroney to put up 100 again is a bit much. I see Maroney and Dillon each around 60-70 yards, with Faulk at 30-40, and Brady with 2-3 sneaks.

Yeah it was Vilma, thanks, couldnt remember his name. I hope Brady doesnt go down in this game. Maybe some doubling up on Merriman.

Oh no, i wasnt comparing there defenses. I was refering to our offense and how well they played then. Good balance, mistake free,(believe we didnt turn over the ball that game) good mix between running and passing game. Good clock control. Our defensive front 7 played well, getting pressure on palmer (4 sacks that game). We will get to Rivers, unlike last game when Chad had all the time in the world to pass.

It is highly unlikely Maroney and Dillon will combine for 150+ yds. now that the Charger defense is healthy. Unless you run a zone blocking scheme, and you guys usually favor the power running schemes, right?
