OT: Why was Dan Patrick on WEEI this morning?

I heard him for a couple of minutes with Curran. Was this just a random set of events or is there more to it?
 
Not quite sure, but he said he was not auditioning for a job.. for what that is worth... doesn't make sense.

I'd take him over the other 2 losers any day.
 
He did quit ESPN, but I don't think he's going to WEEI.

Going to WEEI would be a step back even if WEEI is supposably the #1 local sport radio station in the country. Granted for what Dennis and Callahan want to get paid, Patrick might be willing to take a step back.

My guess is he is just looking for gigs until he figures out his next job and Jason Wolfe wants to put some pressure on Dennis and Callahan to come down on their salary demands by replacing them with Patrick.
 
I thought I read somewhere last week that Patrick may have a morning show on EEI that is syndicated throughout the country...
