I like him a lot....... he has size, finesse and runs well. Do you see the Pat's pursuing him w/ Moss gone after '10? Granted he was not highly Touted as Mr. Crabtree (who was viewed as our secret MOVE UP and get him.

I really do not know when Golden Tate will get selected in this draft.

Golden Tate can track the ball very well imo......

-His main weakness is in that he is not a speedster-

would you pick him if you had the chance even w/ a 1? He could be a BB project like Vollmer....

-Just sayin.

I like exploring a great deal of possibilities..... far fetched or not they increase knowledge.

It would be hilarious if we had Two Tate WR's on this team

So i assume he would get G. Tate on the back...... Mr. UNC would have been here first.

Thoughts?

Well, depending on how it works out, hell, he could have his former college head coach as his OC in New England if things roll that way.

Used to be only the usual suspects talked about Moss dogging it. Cough Cough FELGER Cough Cough... Now people I respect are talking about Moss dogging it... Tom Curran and Mike Reiss for example. This Pat's team doesn't need role players anymore they need superstars. Moss isn't acting like one. If Tate is a superstar they need to trade up and draft him. Moss needs to be cut.

Bigger needs on our team than another WR

I do agree that we desperately need Front 7 help. I like Tate a lot, though. His conversion to the NFL here would be helped by having played for Charlie. He is a converted RB so he has great YAC ability plus is still learning the WR position. He has excellent running instincts, although as R. Bush has found out, the cutbacks across the field don't always work as well in the NFL. Tate also has good hands, he had a few drops in the early part of the season but tightened that up.

He's one of many I'll be interested in come draft day. We have other needs but looking to 2011 we have Welker and that's it unless you want to count on B. Tate and Edelman. Getting another WR into the mix to compete with Tate next year and hopefully play with him in 2011 wouldn't be bad. Welker, Tate, Tate could work nicely.

I don't think it's "dogging it" so much as the fact that he's not 100% healthy.

I think Golden Tate would be a great addition to this team. he runs great routes he just needs a good qb to throw him the ball and heck he had Claussen at Notre Dame.

Golden Tate will be a star in this league.

He has great hands, he runs great routes, he can block, he can play in the backfield and he is a fantastic kick/punt returner. He is not a speedster but he is quick and can get separation. He is as tough as nails.
I would liken him a lot to Hines Ward. I would definitely spend a no.1 on him.

Except that he is short, under six foot, everything else screams playmaker.

It will be interesting to see what he runs.
