Giants should have been smarter

The fact that a player's salary is only guaranteed week to week (beyond the guaranteed money) is what should be mind boggling. I understand not guaranteeing a player's salary for the entire contract but once you play one game, the entire year should be guaranteed and not just a once in a lifetime thing either.

There isn't a rule prohibiting salary guarantees, but, yeah, that's what happens when you have the largest rosters and a hard salary cap.

I don't see him as "soaking" the Giants. I think that vet salaries should be guaranteed. And, compared to the other kinds of "dead money" that teams accumulate, 675k is not much.

Maybe it's the fact that he's a kicker that is making people think it's a rip-off, but most NFL careers are very short, the players generally have very few other marketable skills and the chances of physical and mental damage are extreme.

Pay him!

Good for him! They set up the system, you use it.

And he needs all that money, because, frankly, he sucks.

This might come off as making fun of you, but it is not. (Heck, I think you may feel the same way I do...)
I find it hard to cry for that stupid POS, Mara.
yeah its their own fault, you cant see BB doing something like that

Mara, suck it and...

...pay that man his money.

Chump change to the billionaires. They won't blink an eye over it. Hell they spent over 5 million to rake Brady over the coals and didn't so much as blink so this doesn't even appear on their radar. The fact that it's the Giants is nice though.

From ownership on down there is no bigger, entitled, " we'll do whatever the f### we want, when we want" outfit than the Dwarfs. No consequences , no sanctions, no problems. We're the Maras!

Also known as "the reason why Belichick sometimes cuts veterans before week 1 and re-signs them later"
Eh really doesn't happen that often, gets hyped up to be a much bigger thing on this forum than that it really is.
