I actually just started watching the show on spike. I saw my second episode of it last night. In the first episode i saw Michaell Irving, and last night saw Cordell Stewart. I actually think its a cool show. I thought it was going to be stupid so i didnt watch it last season. Who have you guys seen on the show?Do you like it? dislike it?

I have been watching it of late too.. pretty interesting to see these older, retired athletes compete against average guys.

My uncle signed up but never got in.

I was flipping through the channels one night and ran across this show at the beginning of a marathon. I watched it all... but I've also been known to stare at shiny objects for extended periods of time unless someone snaps their fingers in front of my face...

it's definitely an interesting concept - and it also gives you more of an appreciation for the difference between a professional athlete (in any sport) and an ordinary "athletic" person.

The episodes I recall featured lots of Kevin Greene, Herschel Walker, Steve Goldberg, Clyde Drexler, and even Morton Andersen. I don't recall who else was on the show.

The only real disappointment in it for me seemed to be a lack of actual physical football... that is until the Joe's had to get past both Kevin Greene and Steve Goldberg. Goldberg even wore an 'X' as his number a la The Longest Yard. Those two were POUNDING people.

They also had an MLB pitcher (sorry, don't follow baseball - don't recall his name - played for the Dbacks I believe) who the Joes had to rush and drag off the mound. I think he pretty much destroyed all comers. He was TOUGH.

I saw on Spikes website that Randy Couture and Roy Jones Jr. are Pro's for this season. I think I'll stay on the couch... I don't even want to hold RJJ's heavy bag.

thanks for the replys guys. I thought people would be sick about talking about LT/BB, the draft, LB's, and CJ, but guess not, and talk about something new for once off topic. Guess not. I tell ya im getting tired of seeing the same threads over, over, and over again

I saw Randy Couture also. Last night i loved watching Claude Lemieux ruffing up thos guys on the ice last night, it was funny. I dont know if you follow hockey but Lemieux was one of the most physical, agitators in the NHL, but also a goal scorer, it was cool.

Its a great show. For example, I learned that Jim McMahon is a GIANT douche-bag.

It took watching a TV show to realize this?
All I have to do is recall the Superbowl Shuffle.
Ahhhh the punky QB.

I would of loved to see guys trying to cover jerry rice, that must of been interesting. I would love to try it out also.. Im going to look into it and see what i can do. I played all sports so that a plus. Ice hockey was my biggest sport, played a lot of baseball, but didnt play football that much, but was pretty good. Im an all round athlete so feel confident. I know i could of beat those guys last night, they werent to fit.

I saw it last night, but think it was a re play from last week. I think its originally played on saturday night. If you have comcast you can probably find out when its on. If not, the re play is on wed night on spike at either 10 or 11 pm, cant remember the exact time but it was one of those.
