Tough. We all remember how well Bates did in Miami. I was hoping that he might replace Romeo. Another branch on the Belichick tree, IIRC. By the way, does anyone know the difference between a Defensive Co-ordinator and an "Assistant Head Coach (Defense)"? Who does what when a team has both?

Good move for Denver, but some team is missing the boat by not hiring him as a HC. The Dolphins players loved him when he was their interim coach, and his results showed it too, as I recall.

I respect Bates, don't know that other guy (DB coach), but why are we unhappy they fired their DC? How much more could they have on us?
