This season has been magical, and I dont think I will appricate it till its over, but no matter what happens tonight our goal is the super bowl, and anything else will be a big let down... The 16-0 will be great, but this will be step one to a great jan feb ahead...

Re: No matter what happens, the goal is the super bowl..

You're probably right, but **** it, lets win em' all on the way. Whaddya think

Does anyone think the Pats would have an emotional let down should they lose to the Giants?

I do. I think we need to win this game tonight for more than the obvious reasons. It would be horrible sitting here for 2 weeks after a demoralising loss, and then having to face some tough nuts like the Jags. Can you imagine how confident we'll be after 16-0 though?

It's Super Bowl or bust for the Pats. If they lose tonight it will be disappointing, but they didn't start the season saying, "We need to go undefeated."

The Giants and Pats are playing tough. The Giants already lost two starters tonight. I'm hoping the Pats can avoid that fate.

Agreed.

Still, both teams feel as if something important is on the line. So they're playing that way. So it feels like a playoff game.

"Lose"? The game is not over. The goals are; win tonight and win the SB. They do not have to be mutually exclusive. Eli Manning is a jerk and will turn the ball over to help us out in the end. Keep the faith!!!!!!!!

Eli and his offensive line have played great tonight. Living in New York, I get to watch a lot of Jets and Giants games. I have never seen Manning play so well.

Sounds like you think we've lost this game already. A pretty defeatist thread.

The goal is to win and everyone associated with New England wants to beat the Giants and go 16-0. The goal isn't the SB right now, it's the Giants.

Since when is a statement of fact not reality?

Not bad

Since when is a statement of fact not reality?

Facts can be like stats, they're there but reality can but a different spin on a story. However, that doesn't seem to have anything to do with, well, anything.
