After questions were raised Tuesday regarding the trade between the Dolphins and the Patriots for wide receiver Wes Welker, several parties clarified that no grievances have been filed and no rules were breached.

A newspaper, citing sources, reported Tuesday that the NFL Players Association was concerned both teams might have violated the collective bargaining agreement -- an issue that supposedly led to a request for an explanation from the NFL Management Council.

However, Carl Francis, NFLPA's director of communications, clarified Tuesday that his group was never worried about how the deal went down. Instead, the group was seeking the details of the deal -- not because there was any question about whether the CBA had been breached and not because Welker or his agent were unhappy.

Vann McElroy, Welker's agent, said he also had no problem with the dealings.

McElroy noted he did not ask the NFLPA or the Management Council to look into the matter.

That is good to hear.
