To make his point, Vrabel noted that players have their various routines, all of them built around the premise that each week the Patriots are going to have a Sunday game. Only it doesn’t always work out that way. The Pats’ 16 games in the regular season included two visits to Monday Night Football, a season-opening Thursday night game and a Saturday afternoon game. Their four preseason games included two on Thursday night and two on Friday night.
