Not what I had in mind...

I speak of the fact that the Pats bench is on the northeast, sunny side of the field, opposite the media side. You would see on TV that the home bench is usually on the near side and the visitors are always on the far side. Ron Meyer started this, just to shake things up I suppose. But this even survived the move to the new stadium.

I actually lived for a spell in Rochester NY those years, so I don't recall if there was any season ticket holder reaction, either anger by those seeing the home bench moved to the opposite side of the field, or joy by those seeing it moved to their side. I know I would have reacted one way or the other.
