More love for Welker

New England receiver Wes Welker is the Swiss Army Knife of NFL players: sleek, compact and outfitted for 101 uses.

The Patriots recognized his versatility long before they traded for him last spring, when they gave up more to acquire Welker -- generously listed at 5 feet 9 -- than they did for Randy Moss.

There's some interesting stuff in there--including something I never knew that may help explain why Welker went undrafted (and wasn't invited to the Combine).

And from The Oklahoman:

Wes Welker played the best game of his NFL career Sunday on his biggest stage yet. He burned Dallas for two touchdowns and 124 yards receiving as New England routed the Cowboys 48-27 in one of the biggest regular season games in years.

Apparently, some people here may have heard of his HS QB--but not from football.
